Quick question... is there a discount for the DBS renewal for the next 2 years for ARU students? or was that just me imagining/hoping for a discount?

£13 a year I think http://ww2.anglia.ac.uk/ruskin/en/home/prospectus/applicant_information/disclosure_and_barring_service.html
I contacted DBS admin at ARU, she said that we don't have to subscribe to the renewal of the DBS (re-check) at it is funded by NHS (2nd and 3rd year!) and only subscribe to renewal if you need to do bank or agency work... If I had known this, I wouldn't have to do the DBS in the first place as I had an enhanced one from my voluntary job! £44 down the drain...
Good news is that we don't have to pay £13 per year for renewal! I asked twice about this... and she confirmed that it is funded by NHS!

Same here, I already had an enhanced DBS. I didn't need to spend £44! Good news that there's no annual cost though.
