Depends on the firm - I asked about taking a day off to collect final degree results and they said no. However, graduation might be a stronger reason - no harm in asking!

If you're going to send an email to a firm asking when you'll hear back, who do you address it to? Just Grad Recruitment team or Dear Sir/Madam? Don't want to appear rude but the wait is torture!

I got accepted but was also offered to go straight to the assessment centres for 2016 traineeships instead if I wanted. So if they haven't said I don't know if your app is still considered - I'd definetly email and ask!

I read a post on this thread about someone giving them a ring and confirming that they're still reviewing apps and scheduling assesment days. So all is not lost.. I think. Still cruel. Still inhumane. Still law firm like.

One of my friends called the other day and found out they're still going through applications apparently and will be in touch by mid-march... although tbh I think they're still keeping loads of applications in the maybe pile so they can have a big pool to choose from if people turn down vac scheme offers.

Emailing will probably only end up in a standard message so there's not much point.

I kind of made my peace with it for now. They WILL email everyone at some point... and if not, oh well, what can you do?
