Has anyone got any analysis on this section?

Cleomenes autem, quod erat terrestre praesidium non re sed
nomine, speravit iis militibus quos ex eo loco deduxisset
explere se numerum nautarum et remigum posse. reperta est
eadem istius hominis avarissimi ratio in praesidiis quae in
classibus; nam erant perpauci reliqui, ceteri dimissi.
procedit iste repente e praetorio inflammatus scelere
furore crudelitate; in forum venit, nauarchos vocari iubet.

Tricolon of "Scelere furore crudeliate" emphasies his madness crime and cruelty and possibly the unjustice of the crimes he commits (jailing the captains)

Avarissimi (most greedy man)- emphasies his greed and how money comes before his people etc.

I have more, but these are just a few on the top of my head.

Anyone else studying Nisus et Euryalus?
The language analysis is so hard. I just wish Virgil would have paused when he was writing his poetry and gone
"In a few centuries time, some poor year 11 students will need my advice for their GCSEs" and just written down what he was trying to achieve in each line.

You see, I find Cicero the hardest... Even though it's supposed to be the easiest, I find it the hardest.

Just ensure you learn the translation, and know the story well enough so that should you need style points, you can do it on the spot, and it helps your English langauge (Of which I suck at)...

Yep, I'm also doing Nisus et Euryalus and hate it. Greatly prefer Cicero

Oh God I HATE English Language with a burning passion. English Literature is definitely better for me. What exam board are you doing?

And yeah. I've made my flash cards of the translation and I'm learning the style points my teacher gives me as I go along, so hopefully I'll be ok :3
