This. The grads I know who did work experience in their degrees had much less trouble getting graduate jobs. One other guy who studied politics still works in a bar, and it's been a few years now.

Awww deffo do in work experience
Where are you living now if not england?
Anything below £40k in London is poverty.

If you are being realistic average pay in uk is around 24k in London it's 27k.
I live in London, so I think 27-30k is a pretty good start for a graduate job aswell (meaning no experience).
Overall I think 60k is a perfect salary for luxury holidays with family and stuff, think about it that's what politicians get paid.

I would've said a person on their own earning £20k was a good salary...

A lot of you are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Statistically you're wrong though.

I understand what he means that 20k is fine if you are living by yourself but he is forgetting about the bills, car , petrol , emergency money etc

I'm a girl, just to clarify.

And I live up north, where it's cheaper than down south in most cases especially with things such as rent.

What subjects are you mainly interested in? Look for degrees heavily related to the subjects you are interested in and then see what those degrees lead to what jobs. You are only 16 so you have plenty of time to decide tbh.
