This is making me feel really nervous. I mean were going to be thrown into the adult world; responsibilities and maturity as I'm sure you'll all agree paying £9000 for Uni is no joke. We're not going to be spoon fed anymore, we won't have that crutch of "oh it's just GCSE's I'll reset next year" or "it's just A-Level, I'll take a year out to resit".

Natural Sciences It's how Cambridge does science: you don't do a Physics or Biology degree, you do a Natural Sciences degree, in which you choose modules relating to what you want to do (you could go physics + biology + computer science in first year if you wanted to; you can specialise in later years).
Nottingham looks great, I have a few friends applying there.
The original reason I had to start looking for gap year jobs was because in the UK, citizen/resident or not, if you haven't lived in the country for 3 years at the time of uni entry, you're an international student. Not so in Oz; if you're a citizen, you're domestic, regardless of location. Hence, the optimal choice would be to stay in the UK, since that affords me the most options.
How's the startup going? I remember you talking about it; what does it do? I'm pretty jealous you got to do that
Ah, right! That's pretty cool, it's nice to see that Cambridge offers some flexible degrees. I'm guessing the others offering NatSci are just emulating Cambridge then?
Yeah, I went down in Feb and the campus is absolutely lush. I loved how modern the CompSci department was. I'm hoping the course will be mathsy enough for my liking - from the looks of some modules it is.
Yeah, I'm aware. That's such a good back up plan to have though! Going to Aus for undergrad would be amazing - not to mention the weather oooft
It's all right. We've grown our customer base from 20 to 800 but it's still in more of a development stage right now. I'm the strategy/finance guy so I'm mostly left with the number crunching and speaking with investors bit.
We essentially offer senior citizens in the Boston area access to at home care services (cleaning, mowing, groceries, cooking etc) for fixed monthly fee. So, people call up and enquire about one off service or set up a weekly service plan.

That sounds pretty neat, actually. Do you have like...employees?
Cambridge is the only uni I know that only offers NatSci. Everywhere else offers it as an alternative to traditional science courses (and as a result it's not equivalent to Cam's course).
CompSci should be pretty mathsy, I would be surprised if it weren't.
I'm sort of apprehensive about having to move to Aus; it would feel like a failure, even if it wouldn't really be. I'd still be going to (hopefully) one of the best universities in the world, I just don't like the idea of having to fall back on my family.
This! Minus the power cuts. I don't really get that hahahaha Ahh I'd be so happy if I made my Imperial offer! If not, I'd still be happy at UCL. But stil... What your firm/insurance offer?
Lol we get a power cut more than once a month, so if we were compensated for each one we would have earned a lot of money
Cambridge natsci firm, UCL engineering insurance I really wanted to choose Imperial biomaterials and tissue engineering but it would have been too expensive hopefully I meet my Cambridge offer!
Good luck to you! I'm sure you'll meet it and in any case UCL is really awesome too
What's the one single thing you're looking forward most to?

Glasgow is beautiful! The city is brilliant too. Was one of my faves. Had such a more friendly feel about it than Edinburgh imo (this was maths /physics department tho)
