I was looking at Bristol accommodation and they are quite expensive. I honestly don't know how I'll budget and would probably

Just accepted my accommodation offer from Notts

Private Shared Bathroom (one other person) and on University Park (all catered)

It works out at £192/week.

Nah, St Chads. As much as i love the idea of the old cobble street and cathedral, I couldn't see why I would be paying nearly £3000 more than Nottingham...

Yeah, I had a massive crash after mocks (february) which also wasnt helped by me turning 18 on valentines day, but I've started getting back into it over the last two weeks.

Sorry to chip in on your conversation, but whilst you think £3000 is a lot more to pay, in the long run it isn't. And trust me when I say St Chad's and Durham is really worth it. Honestly, I absolutely love Chad's and when I speak to my friends at Nottingham, I know I am enjoying my university experience much more and it is definitely worth the price!

That's really expensive. Did you budget everything I.e 39/41/43 week contract or?
I heard notts is amongst the most expensive accommodation.

I think it'll be really similar for the King's accommodation

Bristol charge £125-130/week for an ensuite room.
Exeter charges £137/week for an ensuite room.

I'm starting to realise student finance doesn't really cover the cost :frown:

Yup.

Mother is doing a PhD right now so I get the full loan + grant £7500/year. Then, I have about £5k saved up for just uni (not using my other savings) and about £4k from my part time job at Three.

I'm thinking an extra £80-100/week would be fine (or about £2500 for the year). That'll be for nights out, books, toiletries, phone and misc. stuff.

It's a 31 week let but I'll probably pay the extra to keep my stuff in my room over the holidays - cba hauling things between Notts and Aberdeen.

That's mad expensive. I was crying at having to pay £146 a week for an ensuite at birmingham
