Hi, we would recommend that you are up to date on any current affairs and issues that involve the social care sector. In order to do this, here are some useful links which should be of interest to you:

It is also advisable to have a look at varying views for different policies and be able to have a good discussion about today’s climate within the social care sector. It is also advisable to have some knowledge of any policy changes in the sector and to understand some of the laws regarding social work; https://www.gov.uk/government/topics/social-care
You should receive an article to read before the day. There will be a group discussion on the article. In addition to the group discussion there will also be an interview and a written assignment.
It is also essential that you show your commitment to equality and diversity with a non-discriminatory attitude.

That helped.
The only issue i have is am struggling with current issues..the one i was looking at a article on community care was whistleblowing and how s.workers may have to ignore concerns or raise concerns because of the consequences after.
I still feel a little vaque..its the current issues that im struggling with..

I know your question was addressed to geek_22 but thought I’d just try an ease your nerves...

As mentioned earlier Social Work BA (Hons) applicants are advised to be up to date with current affairs that involve the social care sector. Here are some useful links which should hopefully help you:

Heya it went fine.its a really relaxed process from what i remember it was 6 questions and.from what i can remember they asked about qualities needed for social work and any recent issues.your aware of...they also asked something about anti discriminatory practice.and anti oppressive practice.if i can remember the others i will let u knw..but its a relaxed process..
Oh and make sure to go over the article thoroughly.
Honestly dont worry..i was also really nervous and thought i wont be offered a place..but received one in a few days.

Hi

I've been offered a place on the MA Social Work at University of Bradford, Sept 15 start and I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how many students there are on average on this course?

For this year’s intake there are approximately 28 places available for our Social Work MA course.

The number of bursaries available has not yet been finalised however, our Admissions Team have confirmed that there will not be 28.

All successful applicants who think that they will meet the requirements set by the NHSBSA are advised to apply for the social work bursary. In June 2015, the University will nominate successful applicants to the NHSBSA in rank order according to scores achieved during the selection process. Scores will be generated from an individual interview and written exercise.
