I just find it ridiculous how you guys are bashing her for wanting to do something for herself. Let her do whatever she wants, if she still thinks she's respecting herself at the end of the day then so be it. It's got nothing to do with you and has no effect on you whatsoever.

And there should be no ridiculing anyone for relying on benefits: they are a right and a necessity for a civilised society. In America there is not a proper safety net, so you end up with an exploitative sex industry where desperate women end up getting abused because there's no other place for them to go.

The reason why it's "shameful" for women to have lots of sex, or make money from selling their bodies, is because it's so easy for women to do so, unlike for men. It is seen as cheating in the game of life, exploiting a market which is coercive due to the size of men's sex drives. It's similar to the way people see con artists or dodgy landlords or whatever.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I can't pretend I can get my head around this. I just feel there are other ways around it and I asked OP if she has another other skills to offer. I also highlighted the fact she should be worried about losing her self-respect, I mean why hasn't this crossed her mind? She made a post about being worried about getting attached, really? I didn't say she had no self-respect I'm just saying she should throughly think about what she could potentially be losing here. You say there are documentaries about women that do this or whatever, I'm sure some women will claim to have their happy ending but this isn't the same for everybody. So why even consider going down this road when you can save yourself so much trouble? OP can do what she wants, I agree her life, her fanny!

But I didn't reply to you first did I? Haha, I was talking about the other two guys that I was having the discussion with, you just came in now. I didn't mean that you were saying she had no self-respect.
