Don't vote Conservative ... We've came to far as human beings.

I like to think as a species we have done amazing things. At this current moment in time we are uniting across the internet and sharing huge amounts of knowledge. We are going forward.

But there is 1 thing holding us back and that is individual greed. A select few can hold a whole nation back. I don't want Britain to go back into Victorian feudalism. This is what the Conservatives represent. A corporate dystopia isn't a nation.

We need a nation. We need some form of collectivism.

I don't care if its nationalism, social justice or a greener economy. We need a change because if we keep heading along this Tory road our country will be a nation for the top 10% and sod everyone else.

Most of you here are young and fragile. Your willing to accept ideas which appeal to you but a lot of you don't know the full meaning of them. Only time and results reveal the true meaning.

Most of you will earn average salaries of £25,000 to £35,000 instead of the promised thousands the Career guides tell you. There will be times when you find yourself unemployed or injured in life. No one is immortal.

And when you find yourselves in harms way the Tories will not have mercy for you. They will blame the economic problems on you!

So don't vote Conservative.

We're those the 'I'm a femenist T shirts made with slave labour is sweat shops?

The Conservatives were the first political party to have a female leader.

So far they are the only politjcql party to have fielded a female prime minister.

there was a Prime minister once called John Major. He left school at 15. He was a conservative. Hardly the actions of an elitist political party. Tony Blair went to private school and was a lawyer. So was gordon Brown.

This is all very well. I agree with you, I am a typical Finnish social democrat [democratic socialist by the British standard].

However, "Victorian feudalism" is an oxymoron. The whole point about Victorian times is that Britain became the first modern capitalist economy in Europe. Feudalism of England began to topple with the invention of the steam engine in 1750s. It is no coincidence that by 1840s Engels was doing his work in England, full of sympathy for the heroes of the industrial revolution and the real wealth creators: the industrial proletariat of the UK.
I see we've got the usual naive rantings for 'illegaltobepoor'

remind us who 'abolished boom and bust' on a wave of cheap credit and raiding pension funds and then presided over the biggest post war crash ? and left the country days to weeks from having to go to the IMF?

collectivisim is a failed regime in every nation that has adopted it.

Sacca - check your figures

there are 48 female conservative MPs of 142 female MPs and 11 None White Conservative MPs ( of 26 - the other 15 being labour MPs)

i can't find a ready source for the number of LGBTQ MPs either in full or by party

the industrial revolution is in no way feudal

it saw industrial bosses coming from relative obscurity to eclipse the feudal landlord , it saw the power and influence of the aristocracy diminished , created the middle classes as we know them , a combination of philanthropy , good business sense, charity and legislation created the foundations of the modern way of life in turns aided and hampered by the Trades Unions ...

That's right, don't vote on silly little things like policy, vote on identity!

That's exactly what an egalitarian society should be doing. Someone who shares your skin colour, sexuality and gender-identity will represent you far better than someone with whom you agree politically who shares none of those things.

True we need a revolution of equal gender proportion.

Indeed Brother. The more equality and liberty you give man the more he does well. By releasing man of his burdens he can focus on more productive ventures and see his neighbors do well too.

This has a cost though and its proletariat unity. We need to unite with the lowest class of the proletariat right now which is the precariat. Then after this we will have a unstoppable force of unity.

If you want to play Labour vs Tories sure.

Who made sure Britain's social housing stock is constantly dwindling? Thatcher Right to Buy. Cameron Help to Buy.

Who is currently aims the austerity cuts exclusively at disabled people? The Conservatives. No surprise there.

Who blames Labour for the last global recession and doesn't like to talk about the Bankers who started it? The Conservatives.

Who tried to water down HSBC naughty tax evasion? The Conservatives.

Who put sanction targets into the job centres and then had the audacity to lie to fellow MPs of the opposition during the sanction equiry? The wicked witch reincarnated Esther McVey.

Anyway ............. Sack Esther sing along now

We need a nation. We need some form of collectivism.

This will never happen in the UK. The UK is invested in the politics of corporatism, self interest and materialism. To change this mindset would take generations.

The situation is already far worse than this. If you want the truth then you should be using percentages such as the top <1% and everyone else below who are essentially labour fodder to be manipulated by the wealthy to ensure they get richer whilst the rest are in in-work poverty or are on benefits.

I agree. I am to Anti-EU but to me the European Flag represents slavery and death. It represents the corporate manipulation of workers where the class of capital can use the poor of europe against each other for the class of capitals own benefit.
Conservatives are bad. Yes, but they're the least worst of the lot. Stop being a crybaby.

Are they really though? At least Labour's cuts are going to be slower - which hopefully gives the economy longer time to grow in turn raising tax revenue to reduce the intensity of austerity over the five years - longer, the same amount of money saved but crucially less hurt to public services. That's what Labour are offering and what the Tories have flat out refused to offer.

Anyone who still uses the term "people of colour" (even as PoC) to refer to ethnic minorities is in no position to talk about whether someone cannot be trusted to represent them.

I'll vote for who ever I want to, thanks. Please do not use PoC to describe me either.

Yep. The Tories actually quietly ended their austerity program in 2012 when the economy started sinking again (because austerity categorically does not work). What we've had since then isn't austerity - it's just austerity for the poor. Is the economy recovering? Sure. Are the poor feeling the recovery? Absolutely not. It's all a trick. People think our economy is recovering thanks to austerity when it's nothing of the sort. What we have is targeted austerity, and those being targeted don't get to enjoy the recovery.
