Just wondering though, as I've started getting really nervous that I'm not going to get the grades, which Unis you can apply to as a resit applicant? Obviously not an ideal situation haha but I want to be able to reassure myself that I still have options if I don't get my offer this year!

Without extenuation you can currently apply to BSMS, Exeter, Plymouth, UEA, Lancaster, Liverpool and Keele (but only once grades achieved for Keele).

If I were to miss my Exeter offer this year and then reapply next year as a resitter, do you think it would count against me that i had had the offer specifically from Exter and missed it this year?

Check the small print for each uni but, no, I don't think so (if anything Exeter might be flattered that you are still determined) however bear in mind that to get an interview at Exeter you need 2 A* either predicted or achieved so it you miss your (presumably A*AA) grades you'll have a fairly heavy re-sit year to get the predicted 2A*s that you need.

Phew thanks, I will double check that but I really hope it doesn't come to that.
I think what I'm most likely to get at the moment is A*A*B (chemistry!), but I will bear that in mind.

I dunno haha they both seemed to have pretty much the same course. I just had a feeling :P and I'm glad I made the decision I did.

Yeah they do. Lol. I'm sorta leaning towards Exeter because it seems like a more happening place and it's Russell group. Has to come down to things like those when dealing 2 identical courses.

Well done on you offers! My offer from Exeter was higher than Plymouth's (A*AA vs AA - I got an A in maths at the end of Y12) which I guess made it more sensible to firm Exeter over Plymouth. I also really liked St Luke's campus, and Rowancroft accommodation (a lot of the accommodation in Plymouth is quite old and basic). And I liked how all of the teaching sites (except placements) were based within walking distance St Luke's campus in Exeter, whereas in Plymouth you have to bus up to the John Bull Building for clinical skills. But in essence, their courses are almost identical and I wouldn't be disappointed if I ended up in either

Sorry to be awkward but just in case anyone hasn't had a chance for a thorough nosey round both sets of accommodation I must put forward a different opinion

The worst accommodation we saw at Plymouth was as dark/grotty as the worst at Rowancroft. The average at Plymouth was the same as the best at Rowancroft and the best at Plymouth was far superior to anything on offer at Rowancroft. Accommodation isn't everything but, for anyone considering basing their final decision on it, you may need to do some further research to see what you think yourself...
