If more people studied Sociology, maybe our government would be successful

If they even knew more about the society and the people living within it, maybe they would cater more towards helping those people as opposed to helping themselves.

Maybe society would be better off without individuals who are insulated from society who believe their biased statistics and world view are the correct one and lobby the government to enforce this view and impose it on the rest of the plebs.

This is why Sweden is a sinking ship. Rape capital of Europe and demands a "feminist foreign policy".

How so? Britain doesn't even show on the rape statistics. The large majority of rape problems we have here are also due to Pakistani rape gangs that are covered up by the establishment for whatever reason. This is essentially Sweden's problem too. Anarcho-tyranny. No equality under the law.

I don't think anybody asserted that in this thread, but I think the people who go into useless fields and wrack up debt for no reason are the kinds of plebs who want their useless degrees to be more desired with their centralised social justice ideas.

Generally, anybody IN the public sector are going to vote more left-wing, and anybody in the private sector are far more likely to vote more right wing. At the end of the day, you don't bite the hand that feeds you. If the government is the hand, in public sector workers' case, you try to pump it up at all costs.

Economics as it currently stands is a protoscience at best, pseudo science at worst. The current economic orthodoxy is the school of neoliberlaism, that's why it is more likely to make someone right wing if they just regurgitate that stuff and then move on in life and if they want to get anywhere in academia they better adopt the religion of the people who will be giving them a a job. It has nothing to do with whether they are correct or not. Something as squishy and messy and complicated as economics should be pluralistic.

It isn't physics. Even then physics suffers from this unscientific "adopting the correct view" when it comes to how Quantum Mechanics is interpreted. Although the difference being it doesn't matter what your philosophical position on the nature of quantum mechanics when the practical application of the theory lets you predict nature and make stuff. It works. If a massive hole was found in its prediction ability (like a whopping recession coming out of no where) physicists would be all jumping in to be the one to fix the theory (or even jealous they were not the one s to prove it wrong) instead of doing the economist way of continuing on as if nothing happened like a bunch of dogmatic priests.
