What do you think about Marine Le Pen?

I thought I'd create this thread as I'm curious about what British people (and non British people too!) think about bitch Marine Le Pen and her crap party.
You hear about them every single day in French media nowadays and it seems like it's not going to stop since French society is sick and the presidential elections of 2017 are not that far away.

Only thing I heard about her was her comments about Ibrahimovic, trying to cheaply piggy-back off someone's frustrated comments. Seems like the French Paul Golding

Just Googled that guy and the comparaison seems pretty accurate
The fact that someone like her receives regular attention from the media speaks volumes about either her influence or how common some of her views might be in her country.

Exactly, and said media finds surprising that's she so popular and spends its time repeating France isn't a racist country and that the FN's popularity is due to people being desperate.

She's a socialist so i don't like her, but that's for her economic rather than social policies.
Marine Le Pen heads a party whose policies include those of hate and in particular appear anti-Semitic and anti-Islam. Any comparison with UKIP is unfair to UKIP. What is most concerning is the level of support they have in several parts of France, having elected Mayors and other elected councillors or their equivalent.

There is a very real possibility of the 2017 French presidential election seeing Marine Le Pen coming second in the first round of voting, though I think the second round will then see the UMP candidate (Sarkozy or Juppe or someone else) become president.

Actually FN is not more anti-semitic. It used to be
during Jean-Marine reign but now it is more like UKIP.
I approve of her views on Islam

Charismatic racist who speaks with passion (too many of these around if you ask me), she might genuinely care about the interests of the French people (it's difficult to tell) but she clearly has no love for what she sees as the non-French people. Her policies are nothing short of delusional, socialist economic policies which would be devastating for France a country which while more socialist than most still has significant private investment, and her social views are utterly repulsive.

Genuine Islam is as repulsive as Christianity and Judaism, and I say this in the most tolerant and sympathetic way as possible, I respect all of these religions right to exist providing they are modernised, but the things they practiced thousands of years ago (I mean the more serious stuff like stoning homosexuals, not wearing a cross) should not be tolerated in a modern society.

Insanely brave, basically going against the progressive political consensus but standing up to stop France becoming an Islamic state. Surely that deserves some respect.

You would rather live in an Islamic state? Look at attitude surveys, particularly in relation to gender segregation in the workplace or punishments for those who leave the religion.

Interestingly you can’t even calculate a real ratio for British Muslims to the general public, not one British Muslim surveyed would admit to homosexuality being morally acceptable…

And predictably, Diasporic communities are considerably more liberal. Only 36 percent of British Muslims age 16-24 believe that apostates should be killed!

Being opposed to Marine Le Pen means I want an Islamic state? Jesus the extremism on here is unbelievable.
She's a very good speaker, from what I can observe (although my French isn't great), plus there's the whole "strong intelligent woman" thing, and I can understand why the French would love her.
Although .. the FN's policies are a little simplistic, like when her father said that 1 million immigrants = 1 million French job seekers, so the solution is just to deport them all back to where they came from.

But, just as a response to a previous comment, what's wrong with gender segregation in the workplace ?
The FN are a National Socialist party, no doubt about it.

She's just manipulating ignorant people into thinking there will be a Islamic state, which isn't going to happen lol

She's not that good as a speaker, she repeats the same key words over and over
