Curious, read how applications start opening in Aug/Sep, and it is recommended to apply as early as possible. Does this mean I'll have to start doing the applications even before I enter uni in the last week of September?

For summer? It's a good idea to get it out of the way
My last app was done end of sep, I think. 3 days after the particular bank opened
No I meant for spring week intern that occurs in April. Or have I gotten my dates messed up?
I'm entering uni this Sept so just want to be well prepared.
Think applying around November is the sweet spot; you can get university related stuff on your cv and it's not too late to apply If you already have lots of stuff then yeah, I guess apply when they open but SW apps are down the priority list for banks and they don't start reviewing apps that early
variety of answers to competencies [education/work/social]
commercial awareness [uptodate on bank/industry/economy]
good questions to ask the interviewer end.
what bank are you doing? could give you some insight into some qs
I am just ahead of myself basically, a bit of prep doesn't hurt. I am still waiting for BAML summer, if you can give some insight on that it would be brilliant

Barclays must have really upped their game this year for you to see say. A girl in my SW fell asleep during one of the activities (she was front table right in front of HR) and still converted. I always thought barcs conversion was a bit of a joke tbf
