Sparta - Independent Candidate thread.

The Opening Message:

The men of Sparta stand strong....and they crush those that oppose them!

We stand for the weak and vulnerable, the strong and merry, the ones that are opposed by Governmental rule.

Those that say we are oppressive, are wrong.

This is a New Sparta, ready to help the citizens of this country.

We will not budge from our duty.

We will not bow down to insolent pressures from political dangers.

We are free, progressive, and united together.

The people of Sparta are strong, and we do not bow to all the other insolent fools that proclaim nothing for the people of Britain! False lies and promises spout from their mouths....I ask you, as your leader, do you accept their drivel? Their taint-less drivel?

Vote Sparta, and you will see real change. Real change for the better.

I will not wrap any lies.

What I say, comes from my heart as a Spartan. And we hold our words together in battle.

THIS IS SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Policies

Our big message:

THE SPARTAN PARTY WILL REMOVE:

TUITION FEES.

That is our big message and we will get rid of this useless and unnecessary burden on students.

Our Flagship Policy:

Make In Britain.

The Make in Britain initiative aims to:

Encourage more business investment to the UK

Supply more money into UK small businesses to expand

Force Big Companies to pay their taxes

Work with countries in developing infrastructure in the UK

Bring more businesses to invest so that they can create more jobs and more pay into the economy.

With this program, the Spartan Party aims to make sure that the UK will benefit in the future as we are currently one of the most invest-able places in the world to invest. We encourage investees and businesses to invest and make in Briton.

Under Sparta, Briton will become the strongest nation in the world. We will make it prosperous and efficient once more. We will not let it dissolve to ruin! We will make it the powerhouse it is and deserves to be.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spartan Party Manifesto:

Our Key priorities:

1.

Increase Military Spending, and aim to ensure that is there electoral reform within the UK which will be AV.

2.

Get rid of tuition fees and other unnecessary burdens that do not contribute to the economy

3.

Revitalize the Housing industry and increase social welfare expenditure and incentives people.

4.

Getting rid of the bureaucracy in the NHS and reforming it to an extent where it is capable and operational to serve the citizens of this country.

NHS:

Remove the bureaucracy in the NHS and stop privateering the NHS.

Set up a National Board that examines the NHS's activities and its financial budget.

Reduce the amount of paperwork needed in the NHS, use all those wasted files and documents to be recycled to support environmentally friendly issues.

Rely on getting trained nurses from local job recruitment centres, universities and getting more British people into jobs.

Allowing more NHS employees to seek more British people rather than foreign employed nurses.

Commit to £3bn expenditure on the NHS in terms of A and E, cancer support centres, old aged centres where staff is run short, and keep the NHS free.

Start intern ships for those university graduates who want to work in the Hospital sector.

Housing:

Revive the housing industry in the North where economic growth has been hampered.

Divert subsides back to the housing industry in order to build new homes

Refurbish Council Homes and Tenants with more annual budget funding given to Local Council.

Refurbish desolate and wasted places, revitalize old buildings that are abandoned and convert them into Houses.

Create Housing centres that can house people who are evicted from their homes that are unable to pay their debt, give them financial aid as well as food.

In order to this we will send our finance experts to draw realistic budgets from where Councils can adopt and use it to fund their own budgets where they run short of money.

Over 320,000 houses to be built annually.

Streamline the planning system - so if someone may wish to build a property, it will be decided in the course of one meeting where all the finance and property decisions will be made.

Especially in the North of England, we extend to revitalise the Small Housing industries that are defunct with subsides given to them to rebuild their business and encourage any future small house entreapnaur to benefit from our program.

Retain some elements of the Help to Buy Scheme and offer home owners a 30% discount on their building coasts, including mortgage loan reductions of 10%.

Immigration:

Retain a net migration rate of 30,000 from Third World Countries

Limit our EU migration target and remove any criminal suspects that can only want danger towards our country.

Remove criminal gangs from all sections of our society, be it majority or minority. Those that have committed crimes and are not citizens, will be deported back to their countries.

While it is impossible at the minute to limit the EU migration scale, we will be discussing this closely with the Commission to make sure that we can limit it despite knowing that there is no negotiation of EU treaties.

We will extend UK influence in the EU, and work together to limit as much immigration as possible.

We will not however bow to the EU at every level and if needed we may go against its wishes. Other states such as Italy and France are let off, why not the UK?

Reasonable immigration levels can reach to about 45,000. We will aim to make sure that this is possible.

We will implement the Australian Point Style system by inviting the Australian Immigration Minister and his team of experts to review the UK's immigration situation and examine it, and following a report we will look at the reconsiderations that they consider.

Allow more Australian and Indian skilled immigrants into our country as they bring more economic and work-based benefits.

Discourage Eastern European low skilled workers from taking too many jobs - the limit for this is will be one job per worker.

Do raids on exploitative businesses that do trafficking with immigrants and promise them false lies and are exploited.

Send border and army teams to remove as many illegal immigrants entering into the UK. Those that are from the Middle East and require Asylum will be looked on an individual case basis.

No racism is to be allowed during raids, and will be accompanied by judges and other experts to make sure that there is no 'bias' when cases are settled into matter.

Economy:

Remove oppressive austerity measures

Public spending will need to be cut in some areas, but less likely than Conservative or Labour cuts.

Borrow less, use more efficiently with the budgets announced in the next five years

Use money to revitalize defunct areas of the building/ship yard industries and other areas. We aim to make sure that anything that doesn't contribute anything to the economy will soon start to contribute towards the economy.

Borrow at low interest rates to make sure people can buy Government bonds.

Keep inflation at its lowest level yet.

Spend on the neglected industries, over £1bn towards the Shipping Industry, £1.2bn in British IT sectors to stop them being brought off by foreign companies, and over £.13 bn in the UK manufacturing sector.

Welfare State:

The Welfare State is in a much ruined state as it is now, and we are in a society where benefits is seen as harmful rather than progressive.

Here are our steps to divert this and make a better welfare states so that it benefits YOU.

Diversion Policy: People can now walk into job centres and apply for benefits. You will instantly be offered a job. This will reduce a vast rate of unemployment in the UK.

Disabled benefits will not be cut, rather increased.

Social expenditure into the state will also increase.

Young Mothers to be given paid leave.

Single Parents to be given financial aid in order to bring up their children.

Couples will receive marriage allowance which will help deal with their mortgages

Families will receive £30,000 per more income in order to create a well based middle class society.

Workers in the industrial and manufacturing-sectors will also be receiving £50,000 more per income as they are the bread and butter of our society.

Benefits given to low paid British less skilled workers such as cleaning, housing, staffing, will be paid more than the minimum allowance in order to incentive them more.

National Wage will be £15 an hour.

If you go to claim benefits despite having a previous history of claiming benefits, you will be instantly be able to claim once more but in moderation.

Those people that are suffering drug and illness problems will be looked on a 1 to 1 basis so that we make sure the system is working for them. We will use their records to find employability for them but we want to match specialist problems to specialist solutions.

Saving money for schools/pensions.

Introducing taxes that will take around 5% of the richest living in the UK today.

Removing debts from people that are already in debt burden and making their lives better with proper social care and support.

Removing useless child services that serve no contribution to society.

Military and Overseas Development:

UK Military Funding to be over £400,000 more every year.

Make in Britain's Military summit to encourage businesses to invest in British Military - inviting companies to invest into new technology and increasing expenditure on British military companies

Giving more subsides to British Defence companies to create Chinnoks and creating more British made weapons, ships, and tanks.

Her Majesty's Royal Navy to be given over £5bn in investment. We will make sure that ships are improved, and built.

Humanitarian aid that is contributing towards nothing will be cancelled.

Foreign aid will be spent narrowly now, rather than over-excessive spending.

Getting rid of fraudulent Humanitarian aid that is exploiting citizens of their money

Helping South East Asian Countries and India to invest in their infrastructure and investment.

Allowing the military to recruit over 500,000 men in the army.

Encouraging military personal to help in construction and building sectors, encouraging them to take better places in society.

Making sure we develop high quality weapons so that countries will more likely buy our weapons.

Increasing the salaries of soldiers from £16,000 to over £35,000.

Those that have died or suffered injuries, their families will be compensated.

Some of the unnecessary burdens we wish to remove:

Get rid of the TV license fee - an unnecessary burden on the state expense.
Get rid of HS2 scheme.
Get rid of tuition fees
Get rid of assessments that do not help anybody with disablilites.

Thank you.

The Spartan Party HQ.

Athens could work. I thought Sparta was bold.

I got the message and will be separating the manifesto which I'm writing now.

A bit too long I understand, but that will be separated in a different post.

Sparta is definitely cool, and will probably get you more attention than Athens. It just doesn't fit. Anyway, good luck with your party.

Here are some specific parts from your opening statement that don't fit with Sparta:

''We stand for the weak and vulnerable''

''We are free''

Spartan culture was centered around the army and military service. Babies that were physically unfit to be useful to society were left to die. Sparta also had a large number of slaves (prisoners of war and their descendants), one of the reasons why they needed so many soldiers was to keep their slaves under control.

Drop the Sparta thing. Or change all your views to something stupid about making everyone do military service and declare war on France or something.

You know very well that wouldn't be possible.

I'll improve it myself.

Besides I've written so much already I can't change everything I've written now!

Its for fun anyway

Or maybe I could change it to the Kingdom of Erebor....

Hi there,

In judging candidate participation in the Political Party Contest so far, it was found that you have met nearly all the requirements. Considering you have placed obvious effort into your manifesto, and considering it was posted before the manifesto deadline and linked in the main thread, we are willing to let you through to the next round, on the condition that you place your manifesto in the opening post of your thread, as was stated in the instructions.

The reason for this requirement is that it will be easy to find for your potential voters during the Q & A week, as well as when the polls open.

Should you do this then, congratulations, you're through to the next round! Reluire will open a thread tomorrow where you will be able to post your speech. The deadline for speeches is 23:59 on the 16th of April. Good luck!

Hiya The Marshall,

Aye, it would be helpful. That way, people stopping by your thread will be able to spot it immediately. The same goes for your voters when the poll opens.

Good luck with the Q & A. Just have fun with it! I am sure you will do well.

Looks fine, thanks! Though just a suggestion - perhaps you could separate the intro and the manifesto with a line? Like a:

Not a requirement. Just think it might look nice and add clarity.
