How do you revise for a language? A LEVEL (I study portuguese) OCR

I currently do A Level Portuguese both AS & A2, my parents are Portuguese, i speak it well but when it comes to writing its a total disaster.

any tips on how to study for a language and how to improve the quality of writing?

I do French as level and speak it better than I write too (I have a French speaking family!). What do you struggle with in writing? Is it verbs, grammar or just words? If it's verbs than I would focus on memorizing the spelling of verbs you find hard or use most. For grammar, make sure you fully comprehend it or sort out any confusion which is bringing down the quality of your essays. If it's words then try and learn the spelling of words you know or new words. Reading anything in your language will always help, no matter how hard it is at first! If you just want to bring up the quality of your writing in general then just practice and correct it. By that I mean write an essay without looking up spellings etc. then correct it and write out the corrections from memory. If you want you can even make a list of 'fancy' phrases to use in essays, for example, in English instead of saying "also" I can say "furthermore".

I'm doing portuguese AS and A2 this year. I'm a brazilian native speaker however I havent lived there for 14 years but my grammar is still quite alright.

Has anyone here done those exams before? They look pretty hard harshly graded Im worried I will end up with an E

What topics should I revise for them and is there any resources I could use?
Any advice would be great!
