So ****in' awesome, :headbang: better than M.I.A's cover in Paper Planes but I can see why she likes it, considering the lyrics about Asian immigrants in UK & US, & then her heritage (Asian in UK). And that it's so ****in punk and sexy and awesome and raw. :coma:

I have a few Clash songs, but that was the first time I heard that one.
Was great. One of the less loud and angry Clash songs :tongue:

It was a serendipitous find, and I'm so glad I came across it. Tbh it's the only Clash song that I'm aware of that I've heard. Any recommendations? :smile:

"London Calling?" MIA remade Paper Planes using this & had a huge hit called London Calling :O She just likes these guys :colone:

:music: This is awesome but I still like Straight 2 Hel better; it's edgier and raggier. This is nice too but in a rockabilly/ska way.
I really love "I have no fear, cos London is drownin' & I live by the river."
It's basically a double entendre like if you're poor, you're the 1st to be wiped out, not only by the gov't but in a natural disaster.

I always liked the lyric in that song "phony Beatlemania has bitten the dust".
I see what you mean now about the double entendre, listening back, I never thought about that before.

Hmmm I don't know...The Clash's songs really seemed to have proper meaning and themes to them.
