The way politics works means that Labour will get into power again. Then the Tories again. Then Labour once more.

no they won't. cameron and co are just to good at politics to lose to labour. if tories lose fights then labour will lose even more.

Utter bull****- it was because the people did not like Ed , if Labour get someone in like blair again they will win over 400 seats next time. It was tactical voting, the people did not want the SNP in. They was pressured into voting for the tories, and the Media have successfully brainwashed people again ready for their tax back as they make more than £1m. Labour will ease in next time after the tories cut child benefit and other public services and privatise the NHS- which he used to treat his vegetable of a son.

Cameron won't be around forever. I'll admit that he handled this election spectacularly and his campaigning was what pushed floating voters towards the Conservatives. However, everybody has their time.

i don't think that is likely. more likely that it is what boris johnson said which was something like "i doubt the next conservative prime minister has been born yet".

young tories are just as good as cameron. he is not a one off tory. he is just one of many.

But if you look at the favourites to succeed Cameron, I won't call them young Tories. Gove, Boris, etc.

So hypothetically speaking, you would be happy if Conservatives had no competition at all and always got elected?

hell yes. who should the losers of society be the ones to govern. imo only people who pay tax should vote because they contribute to the country. being on bens contribute nothing.

consider that non-whites (except indians iirc) tend to vote for labour by a vast majority.

then consider that in 10 years about a quarter to a third of young english voters will be non-white and in 15 years, 20 years etc it will continue until they make up half of the young population, then most of the young population until whites are a minority.
things would need to drastically change for them to vote conservative.

consider that in 5 years labour's leader will probably be chuka ummuna who is black and how many white people will vote when the opportunity to vote for a black person comes along - people will be out in their droves for an ego trip to vote for a black prime minister.

also consider how many votes ukip got and how many people tactically voted conservative. if ukip continues then next it is possible that many more people will be voting ukip rather than conservative as they now know that the other ukip voters are there in numbers.
also there will be many more people who would vote for ukip considering the cultural changes england is going through with changing of the population of england and the large non-white populations growing up.

if i had to guess now then i'd guess that chuka umunna will lead labour to victory in 5 years, maybe ukip (or whatever continuation of ukip) and conservative votes will be widely split and then non-whites making up a large fraction of england will secure labour's hold over politics.
conservatives will possibly die out and be replaced by some mild politics party like ukip which won't satisfy many young white people who will be moving onto bnp type parties. also far-"left" parties and islamic parties might appear in future decades.

it would be interesting to know how many labour voters would rather vote for green or some other more radical socialist part if there was one and how many conservative voters would rather vote for ukip
