Leftism should be classed as a mental illness. At least in cases like these.

There's a good case under paranoid delusions...

Lmfao these idiots seriously think Cameron, probably the most left Conservative since Churchill (in terms of liberal sympathy) will privatise the NHS. Even Thatcher dared not.

It depends on how you define "privatise". Strictly, **** no! I'm pretty right wing and I still don't support it. The way 'privatsation' is referred to RE: the NHS however, it will be, obviously, and I FULLY support it.

Goodbye NHS and free prescriptions, goodbye welfare system, goodbye social housing, goodbye education, goodbye poor, disabled and needy people. Hello paying for private healthcare, paying to see a doctor, hello to poverty, hunger, starvation and dying. Hello to homelessness, sickness and disease, for which read above you will not be able to afford to be treated, see paying for private healthcare etc. Hello poor unqualified education, higher fees to be educated to a semi-decent standard. Hello to the workhouse, slavery, punishment, mistreatment, abuse, social cleansing and murder of the poor, disabled and needy. Say goodbye to a fair Britain where everyone helps everyone else, say hello to a TORY Britain, where the rich stay rich, and everyone else can go to hell, the selfish state we are in now is the doing of the people of this country that voted anywhere else but Labour. But remember while you voted for tories, they will not look after you, so you are in the same sinking ship we are now all in. THANK YOU.

Yes a Tsunami is just about to hit Britain and we're all going to get our P45's tomorrow because we or a Tory government.

There were NHS hospitals decades before the 80s. Many people were born in them.

People have become more stupid not less stupid.

As kids in the 80s we were told not to laugh or stare at disabled or mentally disabled people.

No one wants to privatise the NHS, the debates seem to be about the extent of having an internal market in the NHS and relationships with suppliers.

And people wonder why there are shy Tories. Without a strong economy these would have had to have been scrapped.

Also, look at your friends, you'll find that many of them voted for a better, stronger Britain by voting for the Conservatives - although I doubt that they'll admit it if you are anywhere near as unhinged as this in real life.

Prescriptions aren't currently free? Only if you meet X criteria.

They wouldn't privatise healthcare. No party would ever dare do that in the UK, it would be political suicide.

But I agree that cutting carer's allowance (or was it disability allowance?) was a bit :s-smilie:
I personally hate privatisation of the nhs, so im so glad cameron got in, as just look at the past, it is labour who privatises the nhs way more than the conservatives.

Nationalised and "free" (there's no such thing as free, it's indirectly charged or an absorbs cost) are different things though.

Good luck getting a Labourite to recognise which government was the King of PPP.

You're right, there's not anything I can do- I never said there was. However- another 5 years of cuts and favouriting the rich will make people hate the tories even more.
How many protests will there be? How many people will make it awkward for the government? And in 5 years time there is no way in hell that they will be voted back in.

You are so right, the cuts in the last 5 years have hurt the Tories severely. Unlucky for you there is not enough people on benefits, zero hour contracts, foodbanks or tutition fees to support Labour. As these will be the main argument for Labour's campaign they will not attract enough people to gain even near a majority.

and labour only got what 29 or 30 percent of the vote? we voted in no one, snp+labour as a government would have ruled with 37%, the only way you could have a properly elected government(vote share wise) would be ukip and con being 50%

With PR we would have got a government that represents 100% of the voting population.

They do intend to do that, they are selling of chunks of the NHS already to American bidders.

Now unless things have changed, a bill was put through parliament which is done in 3 stages and has already passed stage 2 to bring into effect in 2016 a charge of £25 every time you visit your GP

The 'the NHS is doomed' brigade are more likely trade unionists associated with te NHS. More interested in securing above inflation payrises for its members than care for patients.

Oh really? So why are 200+ NHS frontline admin workers going to loose their jobs in one of the most deprived areas in Britain? Grimsby. You know the town which Channel 4 did the second series of Skint.

http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/Job-fears-206-Grimsby-hospital-staff/story-26510178-detail/story.html

These people communicate with patients directly whether they are on wards being the receptionist or whether they are assistants to the medical professional consultants.

It seems to me the workers have left comments on this Grimsby Telegraph post and it appears to be the management who are giving themselves perks like a 40,000 pound pay rise. In case I last checked unions are mostly made up of front line workers. But who controls the management of the NHS? The Government. Ah no suprise there then. Tories get caught red handed.

I have refrained from making personal attacks but I accuse you "Maturestudent" of presenting misinformation and scapegoating people to protect the status quo.

Admin workers don't deliver medical aid. They support its delivery, but the huge amounts of cash thrown at the NHS under the last labour government resulted in most of the money creating admin and management jobs.

Half of the NHS staff aren't medical staff.

Oh the irony. Opinions like this basically support the dystopia-like imagery the OP is conjuring.

I'd rather live in that sort of dystopia than a world where a significant portion of the population actually believes a socialist utopia practical, good and achievable.
