Girls - Would You Date A Foreigner?

I mean someone that is foreign (as in not from the UK), perhaps with a strange name.

Myself as an example, I'm not exactly fresh of the boat have been here for 15 years and gone through the British school system and speak English quite well but have a distinct accent so can instantly tell I'm not English (although depends where in the country). But have that Eastern European look to me.

I am cultured British to the greatest extent and don't work at a car wash.

However I can never seem to attract English females, I mean at all, almost instant "Friendzone". I am extremely social and by all means have great banter and a sense of humour, I make friends with anyone regardless of style, culture or tastes.

Having meet other foreign girls, I instantly hit it off, go on dates, and whatever else. But I never experience this with a British female, regardless of my efforts.

I am feeling there is some kind of stigma surrounding dating or going together with an Eastern European among the females? I understand that it isn't racist but rather a social stigma? Am I wrong?

I don't know about British girls, but as Eastern European myself I wouldn't date EE guys. Not really sure why that is, honestly? Maybe it's because I dislike the EE community here, or at least the people I've met.

Tbh you might just be trying to hit on the wrong girls! If the girls you do manage to go out with are EE too then maybe it's just convenient for them to date people from the same community???

Don't have a problem where you're from - as long as you're nice to me and treat me well, I don't care.
Yes, I would date a foreign guy, in fact, my crush is is from east Europe.

Stigma created about east Europeans in Britain is not as prevalent as some people think.

Thing is, I'd consider myself British, I know very little of back "home" since I came here very young.

It's mainly due to my friend who has a thing for "foreign chicks" is how I meet, mostly they are here on holiday or a work/studying, I guess its the false sense of familiarity from me?

It may very well be tbh. I've noticed that my cousins and all either date EE guys or British boys who have managed to somehow slip into the EE friend groups.

Other Estonians are probably hanging out with the three forgotten Scandinavian guys in town LOL
I can never get too close to someone whose first language isn't English. I am not 100% sure why, but I guess I fear I might say something which simply confuses them. A kind of inadvertent racism, I suppose.

Funny thing is that loads of people that have English as a second language speak it better than those who have it as a first. Not implicating you in this, btw.
98% of the boys I fancy are foreign. English boys are alright I guess but they don't attract my attention as much. What attracts me the most is their dress sense because that's what I see first

My boyfriend is foreign, in fact he hasn't been in Britain for a year! He's not Eastern European though, he's Indian. But still I don't have any issues with Eastern European guys and if I was single and I met a cool Eastern European guy, I wouldn't not be with him because of where he was from

Oh, I know they often do. I honestly don't understand my problem.

Well, you can (sort of) say you have now... I'm half Estonian, on my mum's side. I learnt Estonian and English at the same time as I was growing up and I visit Estonia every year. To answer the original question: I'm not much of a social butterfly myself and, when choosing a partner, I don't really care much about race/nationality and whatnot... I can't relate much to what you are experiencing.
As for social stigma, there is obviously still plenty of it in the UK. But if you try to socialise with decent people who don't discriminate/look down on others, I think you'll be fine.
Hell yeah!!!! Was seeing a Norwegian guy for a bit before he moved back there, it was good times
Have a foreign boyfriend - best boyfriend i've ever had the luck to have. In all honestly - I probably would think twice before dating a british guy again if we broke up.
The question is why the hell would an Eastern European want to date a British girl?
