Most people are saying childhood, postmodernism or social policy! Yeah that's what I was thinking for postmodernists, I guess you just have to remember everything so that there's enough and use all the people!

What people can we use for postmodernism???

Hey what are the AO's exactly?

AO1 is your arguments for and AO2 against . My teacher always say so...

Gittins is the one who talks about age of patriarchy, that childhood still exist, as parents a dominant over children's bodies, therefore parents are reliable for children and economically dependent

but isnt that a negative view? as in like that children are too much controlled etc

You know for the 24 marker on feminism.....do you only talk about feminism or do you criticise the theory with other perspectives such as marxism and functionalism?

if its examine u talk about feminism only in depth. u could put a small counterargument at the end of each point

Idk really... However when I use it, I usually write it as a negative side, but you know that Postman talks about TV culture instead of print culture, therefore children develop really rapidly, this is bad , as parents can't hide stuff like pornography etc anymore , therefore it might be good that there is an age of patriarch, because children are under control....

That is incorrect, otherwise you are explaining not examining! They are the same question worded differently!

DW, I think he/she is talking about the evaluation side. So say if you had a point on feminism such as radical feminists call for matrilocal households your eval point is liberal feminists disagree. But also for your eval you can I THINK add a little marx and fucntionlism in but not so much

That person is wrong, 'assess' and 'examine' mean the same thing, otherwise the question would be 'explain'. Yeah, use Marxism, Functionalism, Postmodernism to critique each explanation of feminism (that is examination...). Also, obviously use the different types of feminism to evaluate as well. All that matters is that you explain all aspects of feminism in depth and use a critique (an critique!) to evaluate and disprove.

You need to talk about other perspectives , because you need to criticise feminism view of being so harsh

so basically age patriarchy is negative but u could argue that its positive to some extent as it allows to control children from certain stuff .
What we might get for 6 marks question?:/ really scared 😓

yeah so for examine u will talk about feminism but at tje end of each point you make u will give a critique such as from functionalists or marxist .. or as u said different types from feminists. sorry that's what i meant

Guys I would really look at migration as well as that hasnt come up in a while. I doubt a 24 marker will come up but certainly 2,4 and 6 markers.

Asses and examine are not the same thing!!! Examine is your looking at reasons. Assess is your arguing explicitly for and against and then reaching a judgement in the examine you dont reach a judgement.

but with perspectives can they really have an examine question? Isn't it normally assess?

Cool cool  I would personally use a separate paragraph to offer my criticism by the way

Yep they can but I think the examine question would be easier, all you do is outline it and slightly criticise it within the paragraph- and remember!!!!! Evaluation is not just weaknesses its strengths my teacher said that a good strength to always talk about is "this is relevant to day because"...

because most sociological explanations still are such as the unit of consumption for marxists
