what did you guys write for those yield question of why dry mass instead of fress mass and why % instead of that kg m s something?

I said because dry mass included water, which has nothing to do with actual plant tissue production, and that percentages were easier to compare or something like that...

i said you leave the potatoes in an enclsed container for several days untill all the water has evaporated and then you measure the mass

less oxygen>less respiration> no energy> stops beating

I said you cut the tubers off the potatoes and dry in them a warm area for a day. Then measure them on an electronic balance

probably there wont be any "right answer"
so many things you couldve put, including yours i think:wink:
guys now what do you think is on paper 2 we all need to get 50 + lol
For the systems question you could put 3 of the four:
Urinary
Respiratory
Digestive
Nervous

For the other one its reproductive
for the question about whats in the testes and what does it do do you just write that its testosterone and promotes male secondary sexual characteristics eg deepening of voice?

the thing we discussed on the way home is that there was a lot of experimental stuff in paper 1 and they can only attribute a certain total percentage to those type of qs, so there will be far less in paper 2

They wouldn't evaporate in a closed container, would they?
