could i of used completing the square, i got 5 root 3 or 2

i did use the quadratic to check my answer after which was correct but i thought since it was negative and the question was >0 that there was only one root ?
meaning the negative is just nothing?
or am i wrong?

I got this the first time, but went back at changed it. I think what you must have done is written -8 instead of +8 by accident, which gave 16, rather than 2. Don't worry, I expect it'll only be 1 mark :-)

Just make sure you check over all your answers carefully in C2, and by doing that you will probably pick up a mark, evening it all out.
