So my mum and I are just sitting in the lounge and my cat walks in with a massive Koi Carp fish in her mouth, drops it on the floor and IT'S ALIVE. So I ran and fetched a bucket of water and we've put the fish in. Didn't think it would survive but 15 minutes later and it's swimmig around quite happily.
Now what should I do?
I don't know where she got it from and I know nothing about fish! I don't want the poor thing to die.
The scale of this incident is clearly causing your judgement to flounder.
On a more serious note, if there are any ponds nearby that might have fish in them it may be worth letting the pond owners know. If not then looks like your cat caught your dinner.
My cat did this exact same thing about 10 years ago! My mum just wrapped it in foil and dropped it in the neighbours pond because that's where we think it came from haha just knock around the neighbours house asking if they have koi karp in their garden
Hahaha. Oh, you guys! I'm scared to tell the neighbours though, as in this area people often put anto-freeze tuna down for the cats I don't wanna give anyone a motive.
