I'm done with opioids. How many do you take at a time and how many per day? if you take more than two at a time and more than 8 a day you will **** your liver because of the paracetamol.

If you take it as prescribed you will be fine, and if you take it for legitimate pain. Shouldn't be taken everyday day though - you should try not taking them for a couple days. If you feel like you have the flu then you're in withdrawal and you're probably physically dependent

If this pills don't help you, go back to the doctor.

I'm not on prescription at the moment (but might ask for a one with a stronger dose because I can't sleep properly). The nurse said just to take co-codamol but didn't specifically say a dose so I'm not exceeding what it says on the packet. Even so, the packet says don't take it for more than three days in a row. I took it for three days then took three days off. Those three days were extremely painful. I've never been in that much pain when trying to get to sleep. And yes, I have been feeling like I'm coming down with a virus for the last few days. I'm back on taking them now but I only took two 8/500mg tablet today. I'm convinced it does FA for me. Even when I was at maximum dose I was still in agony at work and trying to get to sleep.

How much does a shot of Heroin cost and how did you finance it?

Heroin is pretty cheap, depends what you get of course, generally you buy in bags. I'd pay £10-20 a bag and use about £70-100 worth a week. Financing wasn't an issue to start with, I worked, I had money. Towards the end I sold stuff and I would come up with reasons why i needed money from my family or friends or partner. I dealt a little weed or pills here and there.

Dude you are obsessing over nothing at all, I promise you. Don't worry. If you took them for only three days, no more than 8 per day, there is no chance you are in withdrawal whatsoever. It's simply not possible for you to be anywhere near physical dependency. 8/500 is the lowest dose available. Plus if you have genuine pain, you won't get addicted to a therapeutic dose just like that,

If you need pain relief, go to your doctor. What do you need it for?

Hm yeah that is not actually that much I thought it would be more expensive actually, not sure why!

I guess if you have got a relatively good job £70 is doable.
I want to try heroin IV just once, just to experience what it feels like. Is it worth it?

Opiates like hydrocodone and Oxy are more expensive. But slightly less risky in terms of cut, and less chance of accidental OD when you know the potency of the dose

Well that's reassuring, thanks.

I have at least one broken rib. I figure that it's either two broken or the same one broken in two places as my back is in pain as well as my front. It's been two weeks now and the pain is worse than it was when I first noticed it.

I'm supposed to be doing some sparring/combat over the weekend and I'm just hoping that my opponents don't hit me where it really hurts. That's fine in a one on one setting but we usually do large group based stuff and it's not possible to say to everyone "hey, don't hit my right fifth rib, please".

No. Some people can take it once and not use again. Most can't. It's not worth the risk finding out which you are. It is an amazing feeling but not worth ****ing up your life for like I did.

If you do ever use, do not use alone and don't ever, ever share equipment.
Have you had any experiences with Adderall?

Ah right, is it quite easy to overdose with heroin?

You talking martial arts?

Yeah 8/500 unlikely to get near broken bone pain. It's an incredibly low dose. You can buy 12.8mg/500 over the counter, next is 30/500 prescribed. These are not strong painkillers. If you use as directed the chances of you becoming addicted physically are extremely low.

I have to admit I did laugh out loud that you thought maybe you were in withdrawal after three days of 8/500 co codamol used correctly! Go talk to your doctor. If you're worried about addiction just set it up so that you have to visit them everyone you want a repeat. There is nothing wrong with using painkillers for pain - that's what they're there for man.

why is everyone saying the brand names that are american? We don't really get Valium or adderall over here?

Yeah I have, obviously it's a stimulant so is like weak speed. No euphoria, might help you stay up a couple days before crashing and you won't wanna eat. I consider this and things in this vein like ephedrine a student drug, most grow out of it after they used it to write essays at uni. That said, it's dangerous - all stimulants are hard on the heart. You deffo don't wanna progress onto street amphetamines.

Yes. A lot of people OD when a. The potency of the dose is a lot higher than expected or b. Their tolerance decreased - that's what happened to peaches geldof. She used to use a certain dose of dope, then stopped for awhile. But while stopping her tolerance decreased so what used to be a normal dose became a lethal one. Happens all the time.

Kinda... it's historical re-enactment with competitive combat so there's elements of martial arts but that's not the main focus. My injury was sustained at a public show but not during combat (I was at the bottom of a pile-on of around 6 people).

I've never taken any kind of opiate before so I'm assuming my tolerance is quite low and I do tend to have a somewhat addictive personality. The problem with talking to my doctor is that I actually can't. I tried to set up an appointment last week but all they'd do was a telephone appointment with a nurse who just said to take more OTC painkillers. They're not interested in seeing me face to face unless I get a chest infection, apparently.

Low tolerance or not, 16mg per dose wouldn't get a child high. That's the normal therapeutic dose and the lowest out there

If you showed up at a&e with a broken rib they would 100% give you pain relief and tell you to go to the doctor if you need more. If what you're saying is true, you need to get a new doctor. What you're saying doesn't add up but I'm willing to believe your GP is just that bad.

Such is life as an addict. Your friends start dying around you.

Still if you do stop using, the long terms effects are much less physically damaging on the body than say alcohol or a stimulant like methamphetamine.

Fair enough.

As for my local doctor - they're located in the middle of the city right next to the university so I expect they get inundated with cases during exam period with people who've worked too hard causing them to have a weakened immune system and got ill because of it so I'm assuming they're somewhat rushed off their feet. My GP isn't the best by any measure. Last time I saw him face to face (about five years ago) he completely misdiagnosed me. Thankfully he passed me on to a specialist who dismissed the original diagnosis, but also managed to partially misdiagnose me but still managed to procure a treatment that actually worked.

If you're in pain so bad you can't sleep and your doctor refuses to see you, you need a new doctor. It's extremely unusual - most doctors who are inundated are actually quick to stick people on meds - keeps them away from the surgery for awhile. Hope you get some releif.

Cheers man. As I said, all I've got so far was a telephone appointment with a nurse. Since then the pain has got much worse and made going to sleep and getting up the most painful parts of the day. They told me I should only get in contact again if I start having breathing difficulties of shortness of breath. To be fair this does happen when I try to roll over at night because it takes a few minutes and it's too painful to breath in properly while doing so. I should probably get back in touch with them really because this isn't good. If I actually had a regular contract at work I'd be screwed.
