Anyone have an unofficial mark scheme?

C2 Additional

6 marker -

Add soap to burette
Put water in flask
Add soap frop byr drop till permanent lather formed
Record No. of drops taken

Group 2 better because group 1 would't work for permanent hard water/doesnt thermally decompose upon boiling so no point.Soap reacts with Hard water so group 2 better !

Let's all add answers to compile a final unofficial mark scheme

Did I have to state the formulas of the ions for the flame test questions.

I wrote down like all the wordy bits such as Iron (II) and Iron (III) etc , is that ok do u think ?
Is Pb2O3 right?
The ratio was 1:1.5
So I timsed it by 2

I put for the improvement one putting a lid or 'bung' on the beaker to prevent some of the heat loss - does that sound acceptable?

That was the hardest question in C3 for me but it was still pretty easy. I put more accurate

Yeah it's fine

If so thats fantastic , but are you sure , because one on of friends told me that the question asked specifically for the formulas sucjh as fe2+ or whatever it is on the data sheet ?

Well I did it wrong and then as soon as I handed my paper in I realised what I needed to do I was so annoyed

But the answer was Pb2O3
Grade boundaries will be slightly lower than last year as 2014 paper was piss. I think 43 for A* for c3 and 45 for A* for C2

Whats the ethical issue for iodine?!

I put about mass medication.

I got the same ratio but forgot to the last bit because I was such an idiot so. Do you think I will still get 3 out of the 4 marks because I got the ratio?

Yeah should be 3/4 if all steps are correct

It wasn't worth that many marks and they generally accept both
