Hey,

I am starting my PGDipEd in Secondary Biology in September! I am thinking the same, It would be best to live with students who are in the same boat. I don't have facebook, but I think I will have to make an account especially for this! I am in two minds about campus accommodation and feel private might be better with bringing my car up to uni.

If anyone else is doing a Science Secondary Postgraduate Diploma at UoB - reply back to this thread!
It would be great to meet a few of you before everything starts!

 good luck in finding accommodation!

Hi all

I'm going to be starting the PGDipEd at Birmingham in September 2015 in secondary English.

Is anyone else still sorting accommodation? I'm thinking that living with others on the same course is the best way to go

Hey,

I will be starting my Secondary Biology in September too, I am looking at accommodation and i am not sure really!

I would like to stay with a bunch of trainee teachers, which would be fun!

But, I do not use facebook or know anyone that will be doing Biology.

If you have any recommendations - ur comments will be appreciated!

Thanks .. Oh and I hope you found something!

Hey,

Just wanted to see if any of you lot are still looking for a place in Birmingham?

I ask as one of the girls from my house has had to drop out for personal reasons, and we'd really like to have her room go to another PGDipEd-er? The house is really well located; in Selly Oak, 6min walk from the station, loads of shops, restaurants, supermarkets etc are a few mins walk away on Bristol road, its 25min walk from the uni campus AND a 16min walk from Cadbury World (if that doesn't sell it, I don't know what will). It's £312pppm, and it's management owned, rather than a landlord, so it's much easier to get things looked into and it's already well looked after. Three of the five of us went to see it, and it's all in good shape.

If this is of interest, or you know someone at a post-grad/masters level looking, let me know .

x

Hey im a Secondary Biology Postgraduate Student looking for accommodation in the private sector! I would like to stay with prospective teachers! I am looking to bring my car up too .. any advice on accommodation will be appreciated.
Hi Veer,

Well if you're still looking (and sorry it's taken me a few days to get back to you) we're still looking to fill our last double room in the house in Selly Oak? I think I've listed the most important things about the place in the message above, apart from maybe that the tenancy starts on the 1st Sept (although that might be able to be negotiated earlier) and unfortunately the rent doesn't include bills. But we're all sensible people, so we wouldn't be running the lights all night anyway .

We'd love to hear from you if this is of interest, feel free to send me a message.
