Are you sure it is z=1, I am almost 100% sure it was just the default equation multiplied through by z.

My calculator saved the equation, Z^3-7Z^2+11Z+123 Went to Z^4-7Z^3+11Z^2+123Z. Which can be factorized to Z(Z^3-7Z^2+11Z+123), so Z = 0, -3, 5+4j and 5-4j.

Correct me if I am wrong :smile:

Me and my mate nabeel got z=1 for part iv mate

Yeah also got z=1, as if was z(f)=(f) therefore z(f)-(f)= 0

(f) (z-1) = 0 so z=1. But I could be wrong

lowe the beef youre better than this
zf(z) = f(z)
Answer is z = 1, z = -3, z = 5 - 4j and z = 5 + 4j

For the argand diagram question did you represent the argz = 0 and argz = p/4 with dotted lines or does it not matter?

Solid lines, the inequalities weren't strict

What did people get as the values of p and r? And the roots to the equation?

q = -7
r = 123
roots 5+/-4j -3 and 1

roots were defo 5+/-4j and -3 so yeah :P I think r was 123 but you can check that with the 3 roots that are 100% correct :smile:
For the roots q of 8, would I get a mark for dividing the equstion by z+3 as z=-3 was a root?
How much will be 100UMS?
If I wrote a non strict inequality for the graph question near the asymptotes will I loose 1 or 2 marks?

Usually just 1 mark unless both of the inequalities required were incorrect. Usually it hovers around 70 for full UMS but either way you should still score extremely highly. Nice job man!
SO worried I won't get 95 UMS now :/ ... Can't believe I read it as +j and no -j despite even writing it out at arg(z-(-1-j)). Oh my stupidity worries me sometimes

What was grade boundaries for 100 UMS , 90 UMS and 80 UMS last few years? Seems to many different ones lool
