The interview went really well, although I was slightly concerned when she said I could have had more experience between now and the last time I was in a school in June. Thought I'd hear back on Friday but it didn't happen :frown:
Now it's just the waiting game, I really want to go to Hope!

It doesn't have to be an object you can use a poem, book, song, something you have made yourself. Just be inventive as long as you have something in your hand to use to present then it doesn't matter.
See for task 3 which is the presentation, i have a big book which i got from my old primary school can i use that? Or would i take selected pages out of it and then design them on an a4 sheet?
For the task 3 which is the presentation, if i am to use a book, do i take pages from the book and then design them or wat? Really stuck and need some advice:/

You can just take the whole book in. Most people used the whole book unless it was a short story or poem.

If this is for Primary PGCE or Early Years PGCE nobody in the group read a whole extract, instead it was focusing more on how you would use it to teach a class. So this book would be good for... x/y reason. How it can be incorporated into the curriculum etc.
Does this help?

Jess,

I have an interview next week for Primary Teaching, my specialised subject is 'early childhood' also. How did you find the interview went for you? (Obviously well that you received an offer, haha)... Do you have any tips? Slightly nervous, as I'm sure everybody is lol.

i had my interview in february and i was sooo nervous for it because it's my first choice uni so i was really wanting it to go well! it was completely fine and i actually really enjoyed my interview.

to start with we just have to register and show our id and qualification certificates then we all went into a lecture theatre for an introduction and then we did maths and english tests. They were pretty straight forward and apparently don't affect your application, they're just to see if you need additional support if you go there.

then we had an hour lunch break before we did our group presentations. they were fine, i'd just say make sure you're really confident and prepared as at the end everyone has to ask one question about someone else's presentation.

then after that we got given a time for our individual interview which was really good too. the questions were nothing out of the ordinary, things such as your biggest achievement, why you think safe guarding is important etc.

my biggest tip is to honestly just be yourself, let them see your personality and it should go fine! i ended up getting an unconditional:smile::smile:

hope i helped, good luck with your interview!
Becs,

Thank you so much for replying, I really appreciate it. I had an interview today and I don't feel it went too well, so I want to make sure I'm prepared as I really would love to get onto this course. What is you specialised subject?

PS, well done on getting an unconditional offer

thankyou!
Yea, I'm just trying to think of it as 'what's meant to be is meant to be'... Hopefully I'll be joining you in September lol. Thanks again for getting back to me
Becs,

quick question. What did you choose as your group presentation? Also, what did the others ask you and what did you ask them? I'm trying to think of questions I will be asked and can't think of many.

Thanks.
