Everyone's saying about losing their balance on the beam, but I put about on a dismount how she has to land quickly or something. I was like 'why the hell does a gymnast need reaction time!?'
I think I did pretty badly, probably got like 40 :frown: all I want is an A

Do you remember any of the other answers you got I want to see what other people got?

I said when the gymnast propels herself off the beam, she needs a quick reaction time to adjust her body into the desired position quickly.

can't have found it that easy, you got that one wrong
peptide hormones, specifically human growth hormone

It wasn't peptide hormone because they increase red blood cell count and he would take narcotics to mask the pain of the heavy weights.....sorry you got it wrong :colondollar:

Hi, everyone i took my PE gcse today and i found it really hard! Did anyone else finder it harder or weirder than usual???

It was alright, most of the things i replied came up. However the last 6 mark question was very very vague!
Has anyone made an unofficial mark scheme?

Let me see:L

Stimulants for the weight lifting one (wrong) (multiple choice)
Manager for the first one (multiple choice)
Stroke volume for the question that was like 'what else can increase CO'
Exercise increases systolic blood pressure
People & Image were two of the influences on someone taking part in sport

if you can think of other questions I can probs tell you my answer

If I got 45/50 for practical what would I need in the exam to get an A*?

You can use the UMS converter on edexcel's website for any of their papers but for me, I got 46/50 and still need an A* on the paper (66+ I think)

Your teachers is wrong then because Narcotics are used to mask pain from injury and in the revision guide it clearly states " Human Growth Hormone (HGH) can help increase muscle mass and therefore strength" Then it says who might use peptide hormones (HGH) - and it says weightlifting so it definitely wasn't Narcotics
