would your answers still get marked in the edexcel maths exam even if you forgot to label the answers?
Original post by imfrassin
so lets say the official c2 paper has been leaked, will we sit the regional instead?

No, all examiners have replacement papers written and ready to be printed and used if there's a problem.

Yes
But you would be sensible to lay out your working and answers clearly and label them. Make the markers job as easy as possible and ensure all possible method and answer marks are correctly awarded!

For part c) you could just try integrating 1/2 - 1/2cos2x between pi/3 and 0 and that should give you an idea whether your answer is correct or not

C2 students don't learn about double angle identities.

We have to know all the volume and surface area formulas for each shape right?

I am copying a post by the section moderator for everyone's reassurance.

Right, I'm taking the executive decision to lock this thread.

The C2 paper HAS NOT, I repeat, HAS NOT been leaked. There will NOT be a reserve paper. Everyone should not waste their time worrying about this and should actually do some revision.

Any problems, message me directly.

This post is by nirgillis on the thread are C2 papers harder

Geometric series question

n-1 is when working out nth term e.g. the 6th or 9th term

n is when working out the sum of a geometric series e.g. total of first 10 terms

Hi, I was wondering in the Trapezium Rule questions, when we find the estimated area, and we get e.g. '0.3175' but the mark scheme have rounded it up to 'awrt 0.32' do we still get all the marks? They haven't stated to round up the answer in the actual question.

Thanks but sometimes they don't use the forumla
Check the specimen paper, and do the geometric question
See what I mean?

Has anyone done any solomon papers and how are they finding it?

Yes you should. I would write out the full answer then write out a answer to 3sf.
