Was the six marker really from nuclear waste? In fact that's actually a waste lol.
Glad that it won't be the six marker this year

Yeah that's a good point. At least it guarantees not to be the case this year.

Ah that wasn't too bad because you could pick up 3-4 of the marks at from common sense and GCSE knowledge!

True. I only ended up with 3 marks in total but I never get 6. Got 4 marks on the Astro one.

I think I got something like 4 on the nuclear one and 5 on the Astro (dropped one mark for not stating value of hydrogen to helium ratio but had every other point)

It's very hit and miss, I either get a question I can do and hit 4-6 or get something like magnetic fields and get 1-2 :/
I literally just finished my AS physics exam. If you are not comfortable in the exam it's because either the chair is too small or the table is too high lol

Hmmm. I'm sure that will improve! I need to work on six markers over the half term.

Well I'm glad I made two threads for the PHYA4/PHYA5 exams... The AS thread is already 2500 posts and they've only had one exam lol.

What would people say is the best method for remembering the absorption lines in spectral classes?

(Ignore attachment).

I don't think there is a method, apart from learn OBAFGKM and learn the absorption lines in the same order and that they go with the corresponding letter.

He+ He H
He H
H Ionised metals
Ionised Metals
Ionised and Neutral metals
Neutral metals
Neutral atoms TiO

They kind of go in an order. I haven't figured out a way of learning it I can just repeat them in that order and I know they go with OBAFGKM

Thank you! Are Balmer lines mainly prominent in class B, or is it all of O, B and A?
