anyone else think that most of the exams this year (physics and chemistry) have been really easy in comparison with previous years??? I think I either did really well or absolutely failed but I'm hoping for the former so I don't know - how did everyone else feel?

Liked c3 and the physics papers - That b2 ivy question was ridiculous though, probably the most pathetic 6 marker ever. 😭

anyone get 5 for the momentum question

For the velocity one? 12000/2400 so 5 yeah

I got 5.375 or something

I got 5.3 because 3 was recurring so.
For the one where the object fell from the sky I put the one with the curve that levelled of as I thought it was a bit like terminal veloctiy of a freefaller idk

Yes, friction is correct

YESS! I kind of pictured the car turning round the bend haha ._.
hi everyone, hope the exams went well! just wanted to share some of my p2 answers:
for the kinetic energy (and therefore also the gravitational potential energy afterwards) I got 3.6J, and for the height of the rocket I got 7.2 metres
for the maximum speed I got 22.5m/s
for the current shown on the graph I got 1.7A, for the charge I got 51 coulombs and for the energy transfered I got 612J
for the velocity of the cars after the collision I got 5m/s
for the resistor with the greatest resistance I put C because it had the least steep gradient so it allowed the least current to flow through
for the wires that prove length of wire affects resistance I put K and L because they were made from the same material, and K had half the resistance of L and was also half the length of L
for 'what is nuclear fission' I put that it is the splitting of complex and unstable atomic nuclei into simpler nuclei, releasing energy and two or three neutrons
for 'what is meant by braking distance' I put that it is the distance travelled by the veichle under the braking force
for the six mark question I put:
- highly concentrated but tiny positive charge in centre of atom called nucleus
- protons have a relative mass of 1 and a charge of +1
- neutrons have a relative mass of 1 and a charge of 0
- both subatomic particles make up the nucleus
- most of the atom is empty space
- electrons are arranged in shells around the nucleus
- electrons have a mass of 1/1840 and a charge of -1
- an atom has an equal number of protons and electrons as there is no overal charge
that's pretty much all I can remember tbh, think it went alright!

only did double science aha! how was it?

I thought double science was really good! What about you?
For the question 6 I put:
- Protons and Neutrons are found in the nucleus
-Electrons are found flying around the nucleus
-Protons have a postivie charge and a relative mass of 1
-Neutrons have no charger and a relative mass of 1
-Electrons hava a negative charge and its relative mass is virtually zero.
- most of the atom is empty space

What do you think i got for this???????????????

No Nuclear Fission doesn't happen in Cornwall ahahahaha

Friction is right (I think) because its how the wheels are pushing it inwards (into the turn) and they are causing friction.
And no, gravity is wrong because it is on a level, there is no large-mass central object to pull it in.

That's what I thought about gravity (except not in those scientific words). Thanks for the explanation!
Like this for an unofficial mark scheme? Do you want me to make one now?

Anyone know what the whole of question 6 was worth on c2? I ran out of time and didnt answer any of it
What wad the question again. Was it where does fusion or fission happen?

Changes the size of the pupil to control how much light is let in. I just checked my notes and that's correct
What did people get for the focal length maximum change question?
