Had 26 hours and passed first time with 6 minors! They say the average is 54 hours of practice so no reason to worry if you're going to be around 30  but I know people who have had 3/4 tests, everyone varies so much

On a more serious note...

I've not even started my driving tests. I've only just turned 17 last week, so I will be doing my first driving test this tuesday hopefully.

Well done on passing your test, your Fiesta looks mint! Those Fords are great cars to drive. Very sporty and fashionable.

Also, I love the "Private" plate slapped on the wall behind your car

Thank you! And that's not my exact car just the exact same style:wink:
Been 3 years already - time flies lol! Anyway, I needed 21 lessons and passed 1st time with 2 minors

They're beautiful to drive! Only driven it about 30 miles so far. Gets nerve racking because it's my car and nobody can stope crashing now (duel pedals in my instructors car). But I've passed so I should gain confidence in driving alone! And they do say that you only start to learn to drive once you've passed! But I recommend them! Brilliant cars

I'm actually more nervous about my first driving lesson. I really can't wait though. Just afraid I might accidentally run someone over haha. I'm learning on a ford Fiesta (latest model presumably) and there should be duel pedals so I should be quite safe! Having about two driving lessons a week so it's literally gonna take me ages to learn to drive! :s

I'm only 19 so didn't have much choice! But I got a fiesta zetec 1.4 ! Fast for what it is! And in black with the sporty additions it looks mint! And yeah they're lush! Very nice haha

I'm 19 aswel but the insurance is only £90 a month on them because they come under as 1L but it's like - 4 cylinder turbo it's weird my mate has one and their very fast I don't understand how the insurance company hasn't picked it up :L

They're not fast though, for a little car they're not bad but they're far from fast and are also fairly safe in a crash. For the price of a newish fiesta you could easily pick up an older jag, bmw, mercedes etc that would leave the little fiesta behind, but would obviously cost a log more to insure, tax and service

Yeh I just mean the new Eco engine turbos are quite nippy it's fast enough for me anyway I'm not a fan off going too fast, yeh I just like the limited edition fiesta for some reason bmws and stuff will probally be dearer in the long run after insurance anyway

Don't get me wrong the fiesta is a great little hot hatch and like you said it'll be much cheaper in the long run and they're great in the twisties, I just think they're a bit pricy once they're specced up a bit

I was really tempted with finance! Audi A3 are cheap on finance. My friends got one and they don't half go! Plus if you Rev in tunnels it sounds amazing hahahaha! Only problem with finance is sometimes you can't choose the colour :frown: but yeah that fiesta is mint

Yeh I look at it like getting a phone contract that you pay monthly cause I never buy phones outright it's easier just to pay monthly for so many years imo
I took 10 lessons 4 years ago when I was 17.

Started again in January '15.
Around 20 hours of lessons + 8 hours private driving and I passed 1st time with 6 minors
2 lessons before my test I drove onto the motorway by accident ... Ooops
