Is particle velocity the same as wave velocity?

Thanks

Thanks

there are actually phase velocity and group velocity pertains to moving particle (quantum mechanically ). The group velocity is the real velocity of particle and which is equal to particle velocity.

Then please can explain to me why you can't use v=f*lambda for june 2013 ocr physics ocr g482 question 4d

you can find it on the page above
And do you do ocr by any chance?

I could't not understand what do you mean ?
You can't used v=f lembda if you are dealing with quantum mechnical waves. But this formula hold good for electromagnetic waves.

The wave associated with moving particle some time called debrogli waves they are different than the material waves and em waves.

oh thanks and if you have time can you please answer some of my other questions as well. They're for ocr physics as g482 electrons, waves and photons
