I haven't been asked to do a test? Should I be worried?

Hi everyone, I've just been asked to do an assessment for mindmill has anyone else been asked? Is this a good thing? X

It is a good thing. This is an additional test aimed at all IT / Cyber Security candidates, on top of STEM a-levels. These are a lot more specialised / harder for some positions than general ones like accounting, so I imagine that's why so many additional requirements like the test and higher a-levels. I have done it a month ago.

I have received conditional offer, and the email said in condition to meeting eligibility criteria as well as passing this mindmill test. It sounded like I was supposed to receive this test after getting accepted on conditional offer, but I received an email asking me to do this test a day before my assessment centre. It gave me around a week to do it. I did it after the assessment centre, on the deadline day it mentioned in the email, and next day I got text / email saying I was successful, on the condition of meeting eligibility criteria and this test.

So you were told you had been successful the day after you completed the mindmill test (the day after the deadline date)? Did they mention anything about the location or department you would be placed in?

I completed mindmill test before deadline, but on the same day. They are not revealing any locations or departments until end of assessment centres which will be end of May, most likely early June.

Hi all,

Did anyone else receive an E-mail today, I got one saying that I passed the assessment centre and I just had to do the online test. But this was the same E-mail i got sent on the 7th May?

I was just wondering if anyone was as confused as me, as I have done the Mind Mill test and still not heard back from this so I don't know if I have good news or bad news?

Hope everyone gets the one they applied for
I'm presuming it's bad news for us who haven't received any emails at all. Well done to everyone who has been offered a place!
I thought similarly so I sent them an email earlier this morning. They are apparently still "collating and releasing results" with the aim of completion in the forthcoming weeks.

I wouldn't say it's bad news yet, I have worked in the civil service for the last 7 years I wouldn't say it's bad news until you have an email confirming it one way or another.

Hope everyone finds out soon
I'm still waiting for the online test results so I'm taking it's bad news. Otherwise I don't see how they can do the assessment centres. Surely they know by now who's failed especially if the assessment centre has to be completed by the end of May/ beginning June like people are saying.

Nope. I had an email saying that they would get back to me regarding my online test results within a couple of weeks. That was almost a month ago.

Cyber Security was my 2nd choice. Finance was my first.

So I emailed Capita for an update and they told me that assessments in all locations have been completed and that due to the high number of candidates assessed, it would likely be mid June before we all find out the outcome. They did say that they would contact all candidates whether they are successful or not.
It's just starting to irritate me now that they've given a time they'll announce to everyone the results, and now they've moved it back to much later. What's even more annoying is that some people have already been told and not others. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for those who have heard but it just seems really unfair.
