Are IGCSEs harder than GCSEs?

I believe they are a tiny bit harder. Generally the same level though.
AQA iGCSE modern foreign languages are harder than the normal AQA GCSE, in my opinion, mainly because you don't know the questions on the speaking exam beforehand.

Some, like CIE iGCSE English Language, seem easier - anyhow, my school gets far more A*s at iGCSE than at GCSE...

oh yeah another big thing is that iGCSEs don't have any coursework or controlled assessment rubbish; you do all your iGCSE in exams

Yeah, igcses do have coursework. I did it for english.
Sciences are much harder
YES, I'm doing all IGCSEs except for RS and Drama and they are very mind boggling.

Yes in most, as when I look at GCSE Chemistry/Physics it looks like babywork

But CIE Physics/Chemistry is very alike AQA AS-Level how do I know? I'm homestudying AS/CIE together.

IGCSE is way to hard compared to gcse

Igcse is similar to alevels tbh
ok i was evidently wrong about the coursework thing :biggrin: but i think by nature iGCSEs are more exam-based, at least they are at my school, since every practical hands on subject is GCSE (ie no iGCSE Art or DT for us) - this is just from my experience though
