Does any very helpful person have a plan/essay/notes on conservatism and socialism and how to incorporate theorists like marx into these essay answers? Never written this essay before and Im so confused... maybe for a question along the lines of
"• The key features of two ideologies you have studied are completely different. Discuss using the work of relevant theorists. (2010)"

I've been doing Higher Politics distance-learning, just studying course notes independently. If anyone can give me a rough idea of how actual classes have been set out throughout the year, what you've specifically studied, that'd be really helpful?

Well the same essays have come up every year so what my class did was PAL for the first part, Then PM vs President and Parliament Vs congress for second part, and then Voting behaviour for last

I see... Thanks.
Unit 2 is what i've been struggling with. I just don't understand Congress or the Senate, Electoral College, anything US-related really, to be honest.

These are the topics i've been focusing on memorising the most as i'm most comfortable with, do you think I could get by with them?

Unit 1 - Power, Authority and Legitimacy and Comparison of Ideologies

Unit 2 - Scrutiny and powers of PM compared to President and Constitutions

Unit 3 - Models of Voting Behaviour and FPTP, AMS

What is the benefit of studying a specific party? I haven't seen any party questions in past papers except ones that ask for differences between parties and pressure groups.
I'm surprised learning about just one party in detail is actually allowed...

You won't see them in the past papers because they're old higher. New CFE requires you to learn about the campaign strategies of a political party (including the use of the media) and the dominant ideas of a political party. We focus on SNP in my school rather than Labour
