Finally feeling a lot better- turns out things weren't as bad as I feared and I am in the library now. I just keep getting distracted when I can't find what I'm looking for straight away.

Hope everyone on here is having a safe & happy as possible weekend.
Struggling.

I'm just so tired of feeling crap. How am I meant to do an exam on Monday if I can't hold a pen?

My exam is at half 9 Monday morning and I think it's too late to get me a scribe. I'm even struggling to type.

They have extra ones on the day to give to people in things like this, they call them medical scribes in my school... (Luckily in my case i requested one about 2 weeks before, and i found out that i was definitely getting one the week before and i was able to find out the exact member of staff of who it was going to be, due to the fact that i hate change etc...) I think you should try and contact your exams officer as soon as you can before the exam and ask them if its possible for you to have a scribe for the exam... (They might ask you for a medical note, so if you get one try and get a medical note afterwards for special consideration!)

I'm getting special consideration anyway, getting the medical note off the psychiatrist on Wednesday. This sucks though.

Might be worth going to the exams office early and explaining your situation, they may be able to sort something out. You havnt got anything to lose have you?

I feel you with the whole self destructive behaviours, i also have my own that i tend to focus on in the night time when thoughts are swamping me.

Any more thoughts on ways you can deal with the gambling thing? Good luck at work today, im sure you'll get through it even if its a bit rough :hugs:

Thanks man. Gambling is just one form of self destructive behaviours I exhibit although perhaps at times it has been one of the most extreme.

Work was tough on friday and I ended up going back gambling. Im skint but at least I topped up my travel card so I can get to work next week. At least thanks to not having direct access to my salary, the damage although pretty bad won't see me homeless or in debt again. I did get a sub off someone but only 60 quid and I can pay them next week.

I have found an nhs clinic in london that specialises in psychological intervention for problem gamblers so I am applying to them for help. It is very oversubscribed but I am hoping that given my history and the severity of the problem at its worst (homelessness, bankruptcy, theft, fraud, rehab) they may see me as a qualifying case. I may call the outreach worker from rehab for advice too. I spoke to a couple of lads from there but they were doing so well I couldn't 'fess up. The ones who aren't doing well won't answer the phone.
My brain doesn't work... I can't focus, I can't read and I can't take anything in. I have so much work to do... stress :frown:
9 hours sleep....I feel utterly exhausted.

This probably won't help but have you tried taking more rest breaks? Maybe take a walk/watch an episode of some tv show you like then try again?
Feel ill and it never fails to make my mental health go further down the pan :frown: suddenly feel so alone.
