Why are women weaker than men?

From an evolutionary perspective, what is the point in women being physically weaker than men? Wouldn't it be more beneficially for both to be equally strong?

The only thing I can think of is that since women don't need to eat as much as men to survive it would be beneficial if food is scarce.

What a strange thing to ponder.

Mate is you drunk? Not even remotely intelligent post.

"The point" in being physically weaker? Is this either a bad attempt at you being a male feminist, or you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about? :erm:

Evolutionary?

Beneficial? Are you addressing nature (which we certainly can't speak for :erm:), or are you saying it's women's choice to be weaker, so "what's the point" in them doing it? (both quite silly things for you to do)

Also, women eat less now? How have you come to this conclusion?

I'm not trying to be rude, I really just don't see the logic here.

Ok well it's late, mate. Sleep it off.

well then go back out, i think you walked in too fast. sleep it off, chap.
I think it's the same as lions. A male lion is stronger only because it enables him to fight other male lions thereby improving his chances of mating. Otherwise, not much more use for it.

I imagine once humans started to become more civil then men specialised into roles where heavy lifting was an advantage. But these days we have other ways to do that so it seems a bit redundant.

Men basically will evolve into whatever women want them to be so I guess women find it a turnon.

Women sat at home to look after kids, men went out to run and hunt and forage for food. Manlets died out.
Isn't it more likely the case that men are stronger than women*? Interesting question anyway. I wonder how it breaks down in the animal world.

*This not wholly a tautology, I mean that if we're talking about an evolutionary adaptation it seems more probable that men moved away from a shared default than that women did.

lolwot? Everything comes about as a result of something else. animals didn't just appear they all evolved through natural selection etc. I want to know the reason men evolved to be stronger than women in our species.

And ye the average man has a higher metabolism than the average woman. It's not a conclusion it's just a fact lol.

Wtf man it's a perfectly valid question.

I thought he was quite clear in talking physically weaker not "chosen" weakness. If we didn't ask questions about evolution we wouldn't learn anything.

Also yes women eat less, their calorific needs (on average) are lower.

Don't swear at me, I don't know who you think you are. Calm down.

And I don't care if you're a woman (so you say; I don't know you from a box of crayons) you can't speak for all women. It's ridiculous to say a woman eats less. Just because of metabolism. So what. Metabolism has nothing to do with appetite. That's ridiculous. And I'm defending women from OP unintelligently saying they're weaker. And you want to have a go at me? Relax yaself.

Because that's how God made us. Your obviously an atheist to ask such a question in the first place and your theory is ridiculous and typical of an atheist.

What are you talking about?

The question was a reasonable one to ask...

I'm not quite sure if you are a troll.

Let's grow up and stop accusing people of being trolls just because they don't agree with you. It shows you are intellectually limited when you resort to accusations. I mean this coming from the "top lad" like yourself who said to a black woman that he hates all black people and people of colour. You expect me to take you seriously?

Here's something:
so you're being slightly atheistic then. Because many a religion says man was created to do certain things, and women were created to do others.

There's also something called science. Men have a higher antigen and testosterone level which peaks metabolism and muscle growth. I mean you're taking the piss asking teletubby questions.

Jesus all I said was wtf, it's a common abbreviation used by many people. Don't take it so personally you're not a victim.

My god you are pedantic.

It's not unintelligent to say women are weaker or eat less/ need to eat less. Statistically it is a fact, women statistically are weaker than men because they don't have enough testosterone to build the same amount of muscle as men.

It's science, get a grip. If you want to go cry about it do it elsewhere, there are no victims here so stop acting like one.
