Posted on the C3 thread a few days ago - they're extra papers set at the start of the new spec so there were "past papers" that the people back then could complete.

Use the double angle formula for cos2x which is cos2x = 1- 2sin^2x . Rearrange to get sin^2x . Then it will be \frac{1}{2}\int 1- cos2x dx . Then just integrate as normal from there.

It was the most difficult C3 paper in my opinion. I made some dumb mistakes, but I found it alright. I was so happy about the integration by substitution question as I actually put it in the form p\sqrt5 + q\sqrt2 . That question wasn't easy at all. How did you find it?

so do you think this paper was easier than last year because for that it was 65/75 for 90 UMS; surely itll be lower for 90 this year?? ;( im just so worried since I need an A* in maths for uni :/ any advice to ace C4 and get 90+ UMS? :wink:
