List of OCR GCSE case studies?

Hey everyone,
This might seem like a really weird question to ask but does anyone have a list of OCR GCSE geography case studies? My school put a really comprehensive case study guide up on the school website but I forgot my school login details so I can't access it and I can't find an actual list anywhere else:frown:
Heya

I'm not sure if different schools do different case studies but the ones I have studied are:

- Retail change over time (may be a town or city close to your area)
- Urban change - Greenwich Millennium village
- Natural population within a country - Thailand
- International migration - Mexico to the USA
- Migration within a country - Mahad Taluka to Mumbai
- Tectonic hazard in a MEDC - Kobe Earthquake
- Tectonic hazard in a LEDC - Haiti Earthquake
- Climatic hazard in a MEDC - Australian drought
- Climatic hazard in a LEDC - Cyclone Nargis, Myanmar
- Flooding in a MEDC - River Severn, Tewkesbury
- Flodding in a LEDC - Mozambique
- Coastal Management - North Norfolk Coast, Sheringham and Happisburgh
- Coastal Management/Landforms - South Dorset Coast
- River Landforms - River Severn

There are some case studies in the CPG Revision guide specific to the exam board and there are most likely some on Bitesize

I wish you luck in your revision and exam  :top:

Quick question. 4 mark question on describing a population pyramid. What four points do you make? Let's saty it is for an LEDC but whatever you say can easily be reversed

You could talk about the death rate and birth rate, or why there may be more younger children than older people (high infant mortality). Eg. Thailand didn't have access to contraception. If there are less children, then you could say they die young from diseases or don't have access to doctors or, medication. The may have cholora from poor sanititation, no access to clean water etc. The whole population could be low because people aren't educated meaning they cannot get a job, leading to having no money to buy food, leading to starvation and death.
If the population increases as time goes on, or the number of older people increases this may mean the country has better health care for the old.

Hopefully I have been of help, sorry for the late reply
How did you find the Geography in the end?
