CGP. And I quote:

"hydrogen atoms are released from NADH and FADH as they're oxidised to NAD and FAD. Thenhydrogen atoms split into protons and electrons etc."

I'm using the Heinemann OCR textbook, I belive its the official one?
The quoted part is worded the same actually, just that mine shows in the diagram and says on the next page "The hydrogens reduced from FAD stay in the matrix but combine with oxygen to form water"

Whats LIR, sorry lol

hahaha i thought the exact same thing lol
whats the role of the Distal convoluted tubule

Can someone explain what happens at the distal convoluted tubule? It doesn't say much on the ocr textbook :/

Correctly predicted most of last years f211
For me:
- kidney including selective absorption and renal dialysis
- LIR
- Krebs Cycle
- Ads and Dis of ectotherms
- cyclic AMP suggest typey qs

I'd like to add action potentials, synapses, properties of ATP, respiration experiments, and diagram of mitochondria, some suggest questions on disruption of synaptic transmission

Well after that part in my book, it doesn't differentiate between here the proton or electron came from, just what they do. I'm not sure then but I've be very surprised if we were tested on this exact thing
how many ATP molecules are produced in glycolysis ?

how many ATP molecules are produced in glycolysis ?

Net gain of 2

4 produced, net 2 as 2 are used again in phosphorylation stages
Is the heart likely to come up? Really hoping it doesn't! Hate the whole accelerator nerve, vagus nerve crap

does anyone have any tips on how to remember number of different molecules produced in photosynthesis and respiration:/

Are the electron carried by the NADH able to produce ATP Molecules ?

im not sure about that one, sorry, does anybody else know the answer to this??
where in the Kidney is PH lowest??!!?!?
When GP is converted to TP in the calvin cycle, are two molecules of ATP and two molecules of NADPH used or is it just one molecule of each, as my two text books have different numbers, thanks

Most likely it hasn't come up in the previous years

Just scrolled up and saw your other predictions, thank you! I shall read over it all again ahh
(edited 8 years ago)
My prediction on what will come up:
Photosynthesis experiment (either leaf disks or photsynthometer)
Adrenaline
Diabetes
Thermoregulation
Heart
Respiration ( 1 markers)
Role of Synapse
Possibly kidneys and regulation of blood glucose conc...
