we actually discussed this question in this thread a while back, but someone said the wording on the question was wrong according to their teacher and I was told current through a circuit shuts out faster when switch is opened, opposed to closed, even though it's a very very short fraction of time, that's the difference.. something to do with "switch mechanism"

I really would like to read about the switch mechanism if you could find a link because I've never heard about it and it doesn't come into any of the physics I've been taught... Worrying if I go into the exam and write about something wrong lol
Thanks
I am so ****ed for this exam

Flow of conventional current is left to right so electrons flow right to left making the right wing positively charged

MCQ number 6? Why is the answer B?

We need an emf induced so we must have a change in flux linkage by opening the switch. Using right hand grip rule you see the field through the other coil then current is induced in same direction
