Did that question ask for letters of actual names? I put letters but people are saying otherwise itt and ugh, I got 40/60 best case scenario which isso sad. :frown: I spent so long trying to read the question thoroughly that it almost cost me missing out some questions.

It's ok, you're just like me as I tend to dwell on my exams and I NEED some feedback as to how I did and it will linger in my mind if I did it poorly. A2 exams have not gone well thus far but hopefully it gets better. Good luck in chemistry tomorrow!

Firstly I can assure you 100% it asked for the letters

Secondly yaay I am not the only one, I literally spend the whole time after an exam on here trying to see how it has gone, and it is usually disheartening :frown: and puts me off future exams! I should have been revising for chemistry but was too busy deciphering this exam!

All I said was it was gay I dodnt say anything about gay people. Did I? No! Just because you think homosexuality is fine and "There is nothing wrong with it" does not mean you can now force me to accept that. Would you be so outspoken if I called it straight? I dont have anything against gay people but I believe that Homosexuality is wrong.

Your allowed to have your opinion but I'm also allowed to think that's an awful opinion to have. Not trying to start anything I'm just saying, the whole freedom of speech argument is used incorrectly so often when it is a weak and incorrect response. And again, just saying, using gay to describe something which you view negatively is basically the same as saying something bad about gay people. And tbh i would be outspoken if you'd called it straight because using any sexuality as a negative adjective is rude and tbh a bit stupid when there are many better words to describe a bad exam....

Phew, thank you. Lol I got shouted at for reading out some of the tsr comments after the exam. Some people like ignorance but I can't do that :frown: well it's supposed to be motivation for the next exam but if you spend so long stressing over a done and dusted exam then yeah, if has a negative effect but it's just a case of ignoring it for now and hope that f215 is SO much better than f214

But the issue with this is that there was. Bigger surface area, surely the plant with the larger surface area (shaded in this example) would have higher if not the same rate of photosynthesis at higher intensities of light?

I didn't put it but I think the answer was more photosynthetic pigments

<br />

Oh yeah never even thought about that, but surely the same problem applies to more photosynthetic pigment, as in if it has more photosynthetic pigment the rate was be higher at higher light intensities?
I think your explanation makes more sense though

I mat be wrong here but photosynthetic pigments make up a photosystem but if the ohiments are all the same then isn't absorption limited compared to if there were more varieties of pigments absorbing more light? That's the only logical explanation out of every one I've seen tbh
Deutsche?
For the QWC mark, do you have to have full marks for the answer?
Also not sure if this has been discussed but general consensus on grade boundaries? Similar to last year... higher... lower hehe?

39-42 for an A I think. No higher, no smaller
Wasn't it 41 for an A last year? if so then same grade boundaries because I think the paper was harder but can't see them dropping grade boundaries below 40 for an A

Some people were saying the paper was easier than last year, I hope so, I don't mind it being the same as last year, arghhh the mitochondria labelling is eating me away I knew I labelled it wrong but didn't change it that's like 4 marks, which in this paper decide the grade for you
Autotrophs use small inorganic molecules to synthesise the large organic molecules that are digested by heterotrophs. Heterotrophs also use the products of digestion to synthesise organic molecules.
Plants produce O2 for aerobic respiration
Plants remove CO2 from the atmosphere

For this question ^^ copied that from the mark scheme
If I didn't mention the last point about CO2 would I only be getting 2/3 marks

Yea its annoying that a little slip up can have a relatively large effect, although 4 marks out of 100 in f215 seems pretty regain-able as long as ocr dont do another ridicululas paper

OCR unit 4 physics was 39 last year, so I'm hopeful

No no in total I lost more than 4 marks, thinking roughly along the 36-40 mark if I'm lucky towards the higher end, but that does seem true, the thing with f215 is you can never tell how it's gone, the paper is just so damn long haha, but we can definitely gain more marks seeing as the total is bigger so there is a bit of hope!
anyone know the highest the grade boundaries ever have been for f215?
