Got an A*, Insha Allah.
For question 6b, does anyone know why I got C as being (-9,-2,18)? I have seen quite a few others have got that, will I pick up any method marks? And for part c, I found 1/2 of AC and 3/2 of AC and added it onto OB, will I get any method marks for this?

Yeah -3/4 was the correct one. Then you inverse that and substitute into the x =... And find x coordinate.

You should get at least half the marks for getting up to that

Meh, wasted 3 hours sat here worrying if my 65 (C3) and 62 (C4) is an A*

I need to start revising mechanics soon...
Having seen both papers, I think it will be:
64 for an A* in core 3
64 for an A* in core 4.

I did it up to sinq= -3/4 and sinq=1/2

but then i just sin inverse'd it and i rejected one of the values

how many marks do you think that'll get me?

inverting finds q

unless you plugged it back in cos2q then you would miss those last marks

if it was out of around 7
I think you would miss 2-3

You really think they'll be equal marks?

That normal cutting the curve again was a hard question, I think very few people must've got that.

I thought it was quite tricky, I didn't realise how to do it until I'd left it and gone back to it, but I haven't really heard anyone complaining about it so maybe it wasn't as bad as I thought.
the model solutions dont match mark scheme
which is wrong?

I believe the mark scheme is right. (I'm not bragging - I didn't get half the answers I've added the the mark scheme - it's been a collective effort haha).

anyone?
for 8a) how man marks would you get for ignoring t=0 and x=0 ?

I do since core 4 contained a large number of easily accessible marks, the first few questions were very straightforward. The only challenging parts were normal tangent intersecting (3 marks easily accessible here), vectors last part. Core 3 had a similar number of challenging parts I thought.
Depends on the ums but in terms of marks I think 72 on C3 and 69 on C4. Hopefully should be 200

You? @cd

but you missed out k. It does not equal to 0, it equals to k which is (1/4)-ln2
.correct me if i am wrong

K is a number that differentiates to zero

but I imagine model solutions originate from a teacher

Well it was out of 7. You would miss one for finding c, one for rearranging and maybe one for substituting x and t?

So maybe 3, or 4 marks?

What do you think you've got on both papers?

core 3 probably 85 and core 4 about 88 so no A* for me, so not going to Bath as need an A* in maths :frown: so gutted! :/ what about you?
