has anyone done the solomon papers?

I've done them. I don't know why everyone is making them out to be so hard they really aren't that bad. The only thing which might catch you out is the proof questions but they test understanding that you really should have.

Oh yes, so it does! I could have sworn it didn't but just checked it again. Thanks for that!
To quote the specification:

"Methods of proof, including proof by contradiction and disproof by counter-example, are required. At least one question on the paper will require the use of proof."

omeone help! ok so with the Rcos(x+a) for example and say you find out a and cos then it says work out the minimum value and the smallest possible value of x? Also for when it asks for the maximum and greatest possible value???? and what about for sine graph??? please help

The maximum value of Rcos(x + a) is always = to R
They may then ask you to work out x but cos(x + a) must = 1 if its a maximum value

Ah ok, thanks! Getting very confused here... although I know how to go about it anyway, so it doesn't matter too much.

I would do the most recent ones as they are more challenging, remember if you get stuck, use exam solutions :----)
