Really? I thought last years paper was really easy

You found June 2014 easy? How?
Question 2 was awful

if there is a increase in ph doesnt da mean that the NH gains a hydrogen ions, becomes a base???

Increase in ph means solution is more basic so more OH- ions

I'll take colorimetry over the rate of hydrolysis any day haha. I guess I did it as a mock so its probably not the same.

COOH becomes COO- i think I put

That seems correct, I put OH- - O- + H+, I hope I still get the mark but I doubt I will
any ideas on grade boundaries

Oh how did you confirm that rate was 1st order?
I found the ratio between (30 and 100) and (220 and 290) (both have a difference of 70) and found both ratios to be the same (0.77)
And did you get 1x10-6 s-1 for the rate constant?

I think this paper was about the same as June 12

In question 1 what were the two words to best describe the condensation reaction? neutralisation and elimination? (I'm probably wrong)

How was it supposed to be neutralisation?

Elimination is correct though

I messed that bit up. i only managed to identify when the conc halved but since I left it for the end I was short on time :/ and yes i did get that for my rate constant

What did you all put for the very first question?
I put moderately concentrated hydrochloric acid

Acid reacting with a base. Carboxylic acid with amine.

Ammonia. Wasn't it dichloroalkane to diamine?

I've got AQA Physics

I have but Newtonian World is any easy and interesting module, not like F334 in Chemistry.
