Divide by cosx

Divide by cosx

I thought about doing that but I thought they said you shouldn't do that because you lose a solution?

What other information was given in the question

it said "you stupid"

Take 3cosx to the other side

Times both sides by sinx to get:

1 = 3sinxcosx

2sinxcosx = sin2x

therefore

1 = 3sinxcosx can be written as

2/3 = sin2x

arcsin(2/3)= 2x etc etc

I have done all the Edexcel past papers for C3, Just wondering what papers people recommend to do next? International, elmwood or solomon press or bronze, silver and gold papers? Thanks

Oh really. I didnt know lol. So if you had to draw say f(x)= 2|x| +3 do you square it or ..?

Wouldnt that be a simple mod IxI graph, with y values two times bigger then you translate the graph 3 y units up.

Why is point C (π-α ,0) when surely it should be (2π-α ,0)? (Elmwood B).

Anyone?
Im crapping it for tomorrow not sure what to do as i just make silly kistakes here and there and i really dont wanna stress about it otherwise ill lose it 😂

Sure, what did you get for part a to save me doing it too?
Why do the international papers feel so different to the UK ones for edexcel?

r = root 5 and theta = 26.6

they're c34 and international papers are slightly harder as well! Lots of competition for internationals dont forget
guys do you know if we need to know about factor formulae?

like SINP +SINQ = 2SIN(P+Q/2) COS(P-Q/2)

I've seen a few questions you could use them but they weren't necessary. They are all in the formula book anyway

It comes in the formula book iirc.

For part B i've taken one of the rectangles and drawn a diagonal line down the middle, the angle is 90-(theta) and sin(90-(theta)) is 4/root20

so sin(90-(theta)) = 4root5/root20

root20 = 2root5

so sin(90-(theta)) = 2

If you get me?
