So, French society isn't racist anymore? Did you know that an arab is 5 times more likely to be checked by police than a white man? And if you are called Mohammed, its not worth applying for some jobs. Despite my qualifications, I sent about 100 CVs and didn't get called to a single job interview. The most difficult thing to stand is the daily attitude of some people, their way of looking at you with distrust. And with the current economic crisis, the situation is only going to get worse.

( this is what I can remember, it probably isn't all perfect )

Do you think the boundaries will be lower than last years? June 2013 was 86 for an A and this was as hard if not harder

I definitely think (hope) they'll be lower than last years as last years were ridiculously high

Yes... chose the messages question, not the personnage secondaire one. So I dealt with it along the line of themes, except more emphasis on what Joffo was trying to get across to his readers... the resilience of children, the pleasure you can get from coping with a difficult situation, the importance of being an optimist, the kindness of strangers who put themselves at risk for you in terrible circumstances, the ability to recount tragic events without bitterness, the importance of humour as a coping mechanism, and overall the supremacy of hope over fear. I loved the book.... you not so keen?

I picked the same question, and approached it in a pretty similar way! My main point was 'l'amour gagne toujours contre la haine' what with Mancelier etc.
Well, I admit the first time I read it I absolutely loved it, then after reading it again for my personal statement and picking it to pieces in class with a teacher I don't particularly like, I went off it fast.

Ahhhhh ****, I forgot the subjunctives.
Oh my god I just had heart palpitations! I did the same thing!!!

**** i wrote them in french?
For Q5, the names were Mark, Sophie (something beginning with an A&m something beginning with D)

- nuclear is not an inexaustible source=S
- renewables can't replace nuclear=M
Film question was a dream, quite simply 'how did you react'. However I'm really worried as I did a paragraph on motivations, one on public reactions and one on techniques but techniques was the only paragraph actually on the film itself so I have no idea what the mark scheme will be like? I used PEA for the motivations etc so I showed how it was shown in the film and I gave my opinion all the way through so I didn't think to do a conclusion? Will this be okay? :frown:

I'd really appreciate some input to put me out my misery of worrying!

i put that too
ah there are so many things that i found hard on that paper, it seemed so different. after looking at the unofficial markscheme i changed a few of my answers which were right in the first place which is sooo annoying. aaaaaah.
do you reckon they'll be lenient and have low boundaries because it was a harder paper and a slightly different format?
overall, what would the grade be if a high A was achieved last year with 100% in speaking this year and a mid B for the A2 paper ?

Do you guys think grade boundries will be lower compared to last year?
I really need to get an A
Guys do you mind if I collate all the unofficial markscheme stuff and put it on a new thread so it can be all in one post/place at the front?

Does it make sense to say 'mettant nos jeunes en prison' instead of mettre?
