is integrating a^x even on the spec?

Yeah I think it is because it came up in Jan 2013 as well
Where are you ARSEY! We neeeed youuuuu

Yeah~

Isn't it just 32ln2 - 12
For the last question I got pi*(13 ln(3)-27)/ln(3)... what did everyone get for the X co-ordinate of Q?
7.46 for length of shortest distance ??
I got 31.82 for angle and something like 7.46 for the length, basically 10root2 times the sine of the angle
Original post by sofied
yes! what did you get?

Can't remember the whole thing but it started with 32(ln2)^2

For Q6 b) was it 4pi/3 + 2root3/4

What was 6b?

I sincerely hope that you represent the minority, but I am getting the sneaky suspicion this was an "ok paper"

Well I'm doing Further Maths and STEP if that helps... So maybe I'm not the best person to ask...
I can see people struggling with the last question but I honestly did think, apart from that one, it was an "ok paper".
I'd say C3 was more challenging compared to an average C3 paper, than this was challenging compared to an average C4 paper (if you get what I mean).
Damn C4, you could've taken me out to dinner before ****ing me.

Guys. I couldn't solve the one where P is 4000. My Sin2t was over 1....

P was 4 because P was the population in thousands.

nope, there was a 32(ln2)^2 for sure.
Was there a mistake on the paper? Question 7c in particular - you had to find the time at which the population exceeded 4000.

I got 32(ln2)^2 -32ln2 +12 or something like that, sound familiar?

Sounding good!

for the ln2 question, did anyone get 32(ln2 square)-32ln2+12 ??

I got same but + 16 instead of +12.. I guess I've lost 1 mark there :frown:

Also what did people get as the distance on the vector question, think I did a different method to everyone else.. I got 7.46 or 7 something anyway.

edit: just seen above, hopefully it's right then . 1 whole page for 3 marks oops anyway should be full marks. I put x as the closest point and worked out |b-x|
